We film so much content that we were always switching out batteries. It clips in like a battery and provides a continuous supply of power as your charger your portable bateries! This dummy adapter is the only dummy in the room!

You really need this...
If you're taking long video sessions and you are able to plug this in somewhere close to the camera, this will help to keep your camera from overheating while it's running. I am using this on my Sony A7iv.

Works fine with my Sony A7Siii
This has worked fine as a dummy battery for my A7Siii. It's a little cheaply made, all plastic, but considering the price it's worth it.

Product works as described and is great for anytime I need to do long video recordings where batteries may not be a great option.

Not good for A7iv with HDMI
The sole purpose of us getting this dummy battery is so that we can stream and record long video sessions straight through HDMI to our Atem Mini. Works fine without HDMI input.

Does the job
This dummy battery does the job but pops up with a warning on the camera first. Bought a second one from Neewer and it doesn’t give the warning.
