Good Picture. Only 1 HDMI port is 2.0
Easy to setup. OSD is pretty straightforward. Only 1 HDMI port is 2.0, so if you want more than one 4k 60 Hz HDMI device at once look elsewhere. No auto input switching that I've been able to find. Looks to be a good stop-gap until good HDR becomes more affordable.

ViewSonic has a winner on its hands!
This is a terrific monitor for those wanting a 4K monitor for their home use. While you may balk at the $500 dollar price tag, this monitor delivers on all the promises. Read on for more details...I purchased this monitor on Dec. 21st, 2016 and have been using it since Dec. 24th. Current connections I have:Macbook Pro 2016 via USB-C to DisplayPort 1.2 cable (Pluggable technologies)PlayStation 4 via HDMIMacbook Air 2015 via Mini-Displayport to HDMITwo USB cables for charging my Harman Kardon Onyx Mini speakers (more on that below).I have verified that the 4K monitor is running at 60Hz and looks absolutely fantastic! Zero dead pixels and very little light bleed on the corners. This is everything I have come to expect having been and on/off again ViewSonic customer for years. The monitor menu system is the only thing that I would complain about but not deduct a star for.Cable management is handled by a clip on the back which allows for seamless routing of cables. Make sure you have some velcro to ensure all the extra cable is wrapped accordingly. For those currently in the 1080P or 2560x1600 camp, if you are wondering, 4K does make the overall default text very small. Windows 10 as well as MacOS does have good scaling technology to increase the font sizes but make sure you understand that with a 4K monitor you get a lot more pixels.PS4 games look amazing as well. I'm coming from a 2009 Dell 23" LCD screen which by comparison looked dreadful. Titanfall 2, Alien Resurrection, PES 2017, Battlefront and Last of Us look amazing! The PS4 does run at full RGB and the color on the monitor being professionally calibrated prior to shipping really shows. I have not once touched color, brightness or contrast to date, it is that good.As mentioned, the monitor also have 2 USB 3.0 ports which power up to 3.0A standards. I'm able to charge my Nexus 6P as well as my Onyx Mini speakers when they are connected. What is also great is that the monitor ports will power down when in sleep mode which saves on juice. For me that is a good compromise of not having phantom power draw. You can of course delay the sleep setting in the settings.Next upgrade in the coming months is a PS4 Pro for 4K content as well as Super-sampling at 1080p.Bottom Line: TL;DR - If you're looking for a monitor that works at 4K w/ more inputs than you can shake a stick at that makes productivity jump and games really come to life, you will not be disappointed by this monitor.

HUGE Problems w/ Color Balance, Light Balance, and Sharpness
I honestly don't like this monitor as much as I had anticipated to. The cons are definitely overwhelming, bad and aged menu that for some is impossible to navigate, the white isn't pure on this monitor and has a noticeable portion of yellow with it, the display is dim and is a struggle to look like an ACTUAL LED screen, the text is noticeably blurry and even with sharpness at 100%, it's still blurry. I think I honestly may just return this and find a better 4k monitor. Too many problems with this one regarding color and light balance.

Beautiful for everyday task
I do not play games or intense graphics work, but it has a beautiful picture/color and screen real estate for my everyday use: spreadsheets and Quickbooks, YouTube and website browsing. The texts will be crisp and small and needs to get used to it. Love the upgrade from the 1440p plus 1080p dual monitor setup.

Just about perfect (for me)
Great monitor! Beautiful color, good sized. I wouldn't want a 4x screen any smaller, but a bigger screen makes it hard to see the whole picture quickly (like when playing a shooter). I needed good to very good speed, but didn't want to compromise photo editing color fidelity, and I think this strikes a nice balance. It does not have a mirror gloss so I don't have to squint through glare to see it. Viewing angle is good too, as with most IPS type panels. The OSD menu and controls are a little odd, but not unreasonable. They are touch-sensitive, so no buttons in the way. No dead pixels. My biggest problem has been with some older programs that want to display a nice crisp 4x image but can't quite scale the UI right, so I have to use a non-native resolution. Frequently when switching to a non-native mode the OSD will pop up momentarily and remind you that its native resolution works best. Annoying but it can be disabled. A nice feature I almost never use is dedicating different parts of the screen to different inputs. It works, I just don't need it. Oh, and the color fidelity thing? It comes with a color calibration report from the factory. And it's very, very good for a monitor in this price range.UPDATE - Owned this for several months now, still going strong. I've added another input (PS4 pro) and, using the mini-DP input for my PC and the single 4k HDMI input (there are 2 other regular HD) I can easily switch between the two or split-screen / PIP if I want. There is an audio output jack so I can run my speakers through the monitor and the audio switches to the same source as the video. Super convenient. Only drawback is that is PS says it can't display HDR (high dynamic range) output, so I was a little disappointed there. Overall still love it and I use it a LOT.

Burn-in, flickering, regular issues, bad color contrast.
You know how good screens advertise how black their black is? The black on this monitor is vaguely dark-ish grey. Color contrast is at best serviceable and at worst quite bad. Having tons of pixels doesn't help it any. Burn-in was quick to set in and impossible to fix, of course, and now I have both my task bar and the top of Chrome burned into whatever I end up watching on full screen. Daily, sometimes multiple times per day, the monitor requires restarts due to glitches and problems that I do not honestly understand where the screen looks to be melting or a small portion of it repeats across until the monitor itself is restarted (not the computer or anything, mind you, this is completely on the monitor side). These have been present since day one, so none of this is about age.I feel like this is exactly what people fear when they talk about not buying the cheapest available option. This monitor isn't worth the hassle. It's easily the worst 4K screen I've ever had or used, and it's easily the buggiest and most low quality monitor I've owned. Avoid it under most circumstances.
