KidKraft Dinosaur Train Table Model Building Kit

My niece and nephew really enjoyed playing with it but the tracks really didnt stay together, we had to glue some of it. Also the had Chuggington trains they couldn't use cause the volcano wasnt large enough to pass through.

Not only did the table need assembling, but every part of the set needed to be put together... I'm talking hours!!! The instructions were good to a point... then it was looking at the picture to figure out the rest. The track did not fit together very well. The tree falls apart too easily - just to pick it up or touch it! I need to return it, but it's now put together!! We're very unhappy....

Grandsons love it. Very easy to assemble. Just follow the instructions. The set had one broken piece of track which was replaced immediately by KidKraft.

I read the reviews on this table over and over again debating on getting this specific train table for my son for Christmas. He is totally into dinosaurs now and this looked so awesome. It is true ONE of the dinosaurs with wings does not fit through the volcano, we simply told our son it is a flying dinosaur that is why it doesn't fit on track, so that took care of that problem, but there a number of other 'caveman cars', a woolymamoth car, along with a dinosaur and 2 open cars to carry the rocks, eggs, cavemen and other accessories that came with the table that do fit on the track and do fit through the volcano. It took my husband and father about an hour to put it together, but they also glued a lot of the pieces together, we also have a one year old, so to keep this in a somewhat usable condition while he pulls on everything we figured it was best. Being a circle there isn't much more "designing' you can do with the tracks, so we have decided to glue it down, we glued the main track pieces that were flat on the table down, this seems to be holding up to a number of beatings by toddlers, and their friends. The hole in the bottom of the volcano is a tar pit/trap of death for all of the actual trains/cars. We quickly noticed all the pieces were vanishing into the bottom level of the volcano and it was hard to get them out.... so we stuffed a bunch of paper towels in the bottom layer, as suggested by another reviewer and it seems to be working to keep the trains accessible. I personally would like to take it out and just put a piece of cardboard right under the track so you don't even have to see the paper towels at all (Right now you can't see them unless you are looking for them). So at the end of the day, my kid LOVES this table, he was super happy to get it, the pieces are awesome and different then all the other train tables, if your willing to put an extra couple of minutes into and grab some gorilla glue, I think most people would be happy to have this train table. Hopefully this helps everyone else there that is sitting on the fence on this table or not, I am happy with our decision and the only reason i gave it four is just because of the volcano of doom.

I bought my 3 year old son this train for Christmas. I have bought other Kidkraft products that I have been very happy with. This one frustrates me. It was quite the process to put it together, but I thought it went together well. It is the actual train that drives me crazy. It can only be put together one way for it to work. Once it has been taken apart you don't remember how to put it back together. Since it is constantly coming apart it is a big problem. There have been many tears from my son because the tracks are always falling. I have even tried hot gluing them together, it worked for a while. The train is too big to fit through one of the volcano openings. I don't think they actually tried this product before they sold it. I would love to take the whole thing to the garbage, my son would never allow that. Now I am off to try and find the instructions online so I can try and put the tracks together the right way once again.

It was a bit complicated to put the actual track together but worth the aggravation. My 3 year old little boy was so thrilled with it. The first few days, I was nervous because he was being too quiet, only to find him completly emerged in his imagination at the train table. His big sister who is 6 loves it almost as much as he does. He also makes sure to put his toys away back in their "special" bins and trust me that is nothing short of a miracle.

My 3.5 yr old loves this train set! I had trouble putting it together but that's user error I'm sure. :) for a boy who loves trains and dinos this is perfect! Love this train set. So glad we made the purchase!

It's ok... Bit disappointing actually.Nothing to shout about. I thought it would be much better than it is. Very flimsy pieces and some of the tracks don't fit together very well.

Arrived super fast, not opened it yet as Christmas present for my boy, but all in all looks great recommend at this price.

das ganze hatte von vorn herein kratzer...allerdings machten wir den fehler es erst am 24.12.13 aufzubauen...jetzt beim bespielen stellt sich heraus das der ganze spaß nur so auf den tisch gestellt wird und wenn man drüber fährt werder die schienen zusammen halten noch die autos in der spur bleiben...viel ärger für viel geld...werde sowas nie wieder über das internet bestellen...dann lieber in einen fach spielzeugladen und sich das ganze vor ort ansehen...ich hoffe nur das ich da mein geld zurück bekomme....frohe weihnachten!!!!

Zum 3. Geburtstag bekam unser Sohn dieses schöne Set und er spielt viel damit.Sehr praktisch finden wir den Tisch mit den Fächern zum einräumen.Der Aufbau hat gut geklappt, alles war sehr gut beschriftet. Wir haben zu zweit 1,5 Stunden dafur gebraucht.

Der Tisch ist etwas wackelig. Viel Zubehör dabei. Kompatibel mit brio Eisenbahn. Um über 200 Euro würde ich ihn nicht kaufen, aber im Angebot ist der Preis von 108 euro ok.
