Shut In (Blu-ray)

Why? Why did Naomi Watts agree to star in this terrible film? Watts is a great actor. Why waste such talent on this hackneyed flick? The Oedipus Complex was disgusting enough to watch, but it was the cause of a faked accident/injury and triple murder? The second half of the film was such a sloppy rip-off of 'The Shining' I laughed out loud. At least Wendy armed herself with a knife. It took the entire film before Watts finally went full beast mode and defended herself and the kid from her murderous, wannabe incestuous manchild. If the doors were nailed shut, why not break the glass?? Where's the logic in all of this?I love Naomi Watts, but if you want to see a smart film, look elsewhere.I

My husband and I have been on a streak of great horror/thrilled type movies (watch Autopsy of Jane Doe...so creepy!), and we had high hopes for this one. Unfortunately, after 40 minutes in, he looked at me and said, "Is it just me, or is this the most boring, awful movie ever?"NOTHING happened. It was scene after scene after scene of the main character (Naomi Watts) sleeping, waking up, caring for her son, sleeping, waking up, sleeping again, dreaming, waking up, and sitting her son in front of the TV. They kept referencing weather reports about an impending snow storm, but it never actually happened.The actions of the characters weren't plausible. The dialogue was horrible. There were holes all throughout the plot line. It was just. so. bad.Oh, and if all that isn't enough to scare you off, the ending was predictable and anti-climatic.We totally wasted 90 minutes of our lives on this stinker.

Not good/predictable. Stupid jump scares for most of it. ALL of the adult men are gormless fools, especially a Dr. Wilson, who is a bumbling idiot to the point of being unintentionally hilarious. Lots of stage whispering and panting from Naomi Watts, as expected. Charlie Heaton was pretty good, but has a funny scene where he explains how he (somehow) pretended to be in a persistent vegetative state for half a year- in 15 seconds. That scene couldn't be good, regardless of performed it. Honestly would have been better as a send-up to horror, like Scream.

I really liked this movie. Naomi Watts just captivates me. She blew me away in the Ring and I have been a fan ever since. There are some true shocking, make you jump moments and I Love that. There is an eerie feeling portrayed throughout which I also loved. Alone, away from immediate civilization, a storm approaching, Shut In may not be for everyone, but it was for me.

A good vehicle for lovely and very talented Naomi Watts. Interesting and strange fantasy that has alot of reality about the parenting game.

Shut In is one of those sleepers and many people have never heard of. Don't ask me why, because it's an exceptional movie. At one point I was afraid the film was going sideways on me, becoming supernatural. Sorry, but I'm just not into paranormal movies; that's just me; I can't get into stories that I can't picture myself being in. But fortunately, that's not what was happening. The ending was a slight stretch, credulity wise, but the rest of the picture was so good I'll still give in my highest rating. I recommend this movie without reservation.

I am a fan of this genre and will say that this is well done. Worth the watch!

This is a great thriller, filled with suspense. The acting is fantastic and there was not one weak performance.

Oh wow, loved this. Stars Naomi Watts & The ever Brilliant Jacob Trembley. Both of them star in ‘ The Book Of Henry ‘. What, can I say. I’ve 2800+ films and I liked this.

I enjoyed this film! It had me tense and on edge at times, and it reminded me of old school thrillers.

Run of the mill horror nothing special!
