I was skeptical about the strength of the rack when we opened the box, however, once it was put together it was very sturdy. It is light enough that one person can slide it into the receiver on our Motor home if necessary.

This is very lightweight and very strong. I put a complete Ford Big Block engine on it with no problem, and then of course had to test it by hauling two Ford engines on it no problem. Easily over 500lbs.

The materials are sturdy and strong. After assembly, it is a well-built, durable piece of equipment and has plenty of room for a large cooler or baggage.

The media could not be loaded. Great basket, perfect size.I recently returned a steel basket that was super heavy, right at that moment I decided that I wanted an aluminum one instead of steal. This aluminum basket is easy to lift and handle the insertion process because it's not super heavy. Note: my car's hitch is kind of low, so I ended up buying an extension/riser which was a huge improvement.
