Bought a home cctv kit off of Amazon and was going to get a friend to connect it up for me after I’d ran all the Cat5 cables. Took a notion to do it myself and bought this kit which proved to be fantastic.I hadn’t terminated Cat5 before but with the picture of the order of the cables and watxhing a couple of you tube videos I found it really easy. I only used three items of the kit, the multi tool cutter and crisper, cable stripper and tester.The only negative I had was that I’d to run out and buy a battery for the testerThe tools were good quality, tester felt a bit cheap a d not sure it would last in a professional situation but it did a great job for me as you can split it into two with one part on each end of a cable which let me test the insitu cables which were around 30m away with ease. Overall great value set which got the job done! No hesitation to recommend.

My previous experience of creating my own RJ45 cables was nil but I wanted to wire up my outdoor cameras myself, so cable building tools were a must. You get everything in this kit that you need to do that, although I would caution that the included RJ45 connectors were unreliable.The main crimping tool is good and makes attaching the connectors nice and easy - once you get around the fiddly bit of separating the twisted pairs, getting them into the correct sequence and then sliding them into the teeny channels inside the connector. Shame they can't make a tool for that!I did find that it didn't cut through all 8 cables evenly, leaving the outermost cable at each end half-cut, but with a twist and pull they came away easily.The included cable tester is invaluable, as it showed that my first few tries with the included RJ45 connectors were not working. When I switched to some other connectors I purchased separately my success rate was much better.Also found the included cable cutter useful for a nice neat cut around the outer sheath, with no damage to the inner cables.For the money this is a great value kit for the beginner but I'd recommend buying your own RJ45 connectors from a reputable supplier rather than rely on the ones included in the kit.

I needed to replace a load of network wires and thought it would be easier with pass through ends so needed to replace my old crimper with a new one.This set has everything you need and the ease of use fantastic. I managed to get lots of wires done in a short amount of time.

This is a set of phenomenal value. It's not perfect, the boots supplied aren't great and seem to get in the way of some cables being plugged in, and the crimper mostly fails to snip of pin 1's lead when crimping pass through connectors, but it's a nice set. The tester is functional, the jacks are excellent and the main crimping tool even has the t568 colours listed on the side. There is even a printed manual which makes sense if you've never crimped before.I haven't even tried the rest of the tools, but there are tools for punching down, screwing and cable stripping which all feel solid to the touch.A really good value set. If you're just doing odd jobs you can't go wrong.

Good piece of kit with most of what you need. I haven’t used the crimping tool yet, but mechanically it feels sturdy and like it’ll do the job well. The only thing that needs improving on is the screwdriver set as they feel flimsy and that the slightest tight screw would bur the heads on them.

The crimper worked well and the pass-through terminals worked very well. The secret was to uncover a 3 inch length of the separate wires, align them in proper order as indicated by the included documentation then insert the wires into the make ends. The crimper automatically clips the excess wire making the terminal clean.

Fijne set met veel onderdelen. Werkt goed. Heb er tot nu toe 5 kabels bewerkt en die werken perfect. Meter werkt goed en heeft ook een goed bereik.

Just as advertised. Have been using it only for a couple of weeks. It feels slightly heavy but it looks sturdy.

Much better price than other suppliers charged for just an all in one tool. It came with other tools, (a punch down tool and cable strippers), I still haven't learned how to use, but I taught myself how to use the RJ45 ethernet termination tool with my 2nd try. The all in one stripper/crimper worked perfectly, and I started my self educating with a stiffer, thus more difficult to handle, Direct Burial/ Outdoor rated Cat 5-E Shielded cable. And the included tester verified I did it right.I AM VERY HAPPY WITH IT SO FAR AND INTEND TO EXPAND MY BLDG. MAINT./CONSTRUCTION SERVICES USING THIS NEW TOOL IN MY ARSENAL OF FIX IT, MODIFY IT, OR BUILD IT APPLICATIONS.
