great acting and you can hardly tell its low budget, the parts where you can just add to its charm.

Was a great watch, don't bother with the trailer it gives too much of the movie away. If you watch it the way the directors/writers/producers intended the audience to, you wont be dissapointed. It wasn't "perfect" so i cant give it 5 stars. It was really really good though. The kid and the priest are great, the actors really sell there roles here would love to see them in more stuff

A man watches his great with child wife get beaten into a coma at the hands of marauding gangs of feral mutant kids who roam the ghetto of derelict condemned buildings he lives in. Left with his newborn to raise he's having difficulties because he has become agoraphobic. (Is it agoraphobia if the fear is justified?) Now that he has pulled the plug on his beloved wife he can leave the hood, only before he does they snatch up his baby daughter. He has to go after her. He has to go into the very bowels of this place to save his little one. This movie held promise but the ending damn near destroyed all its good work. That ending is so slam-bam thank you ma'am it's like they ran out of money or something. Pity.

One of the scariest films I've ever seen. Definitely not for the faint hearted, but if you enjoy this genre you're in for a helluva ride.

Not bad of a movie at all. I'm not much on newer horror films I like classics and my husband doesn't like horror at all but we both enjoyed this movie. I like to read about movies after watching them and it makes it even more amazing! The whole film was shot with just a hand held camera (which you cannot tell at all) the acting was amazing and the story is actually based off a true story by the writer. He just made it into a horror version. Pretty amazing.

I loved this movie! it's very atmospheric and creepy!I was completely drawn in by the main character's fear, a must have for any horror fan.

It wasn't bad. The ending could have been better. And I have to wonder how they lived in the same building and he never noticed them before. How is that possible?

I found it annoying, badly interpreted & directed and incomprehensible especially as there were no subs. Avoid unless you are a fan of Irish productions.

Im Mittelpunkt des blassen, beinahe farblosen Films steht die Agoraphobie – die panische Angst davor, das Haus zu verlassen und freie Plätze zu beschreiten - eingeleitet durch ein brutales und traumatisches Erlebnis, das nicht lange genug her sein kann. Mit herzzerbrechendem Realismus lässt Regisseur Ciaran Foy sein Publikum mit Protagonist Tommy (eindrucksvoll: Aneurin Barnard) all den Schmerz, die Panik und die Freude über jeden kleinen Schritt miterleben. Die gut gesetzten Schockeffekte und die eine oder andere blutige Szene, aber auch die immer tiefer gehende Furcht machen den Film sehr sehenswert.Dabei frisst sich hier die Gefahr von innen nach außen. Ein ganzer Hochhausblock ist infiziert mit einem Virus. Soziale enachteiligung äußert sich in einer vorurteilsbehafteten, beinahe dämonischen Mutation, die die dunkle Seite der Kinder an die Oberfläche bringt. Angst ist ihr Antrieb, sehen können sie nur die Furcht anderer Leute und angezogen davon trifft es meist diejenigen, die dies eh schon geahnt haben. Dabei werden die Monster-Kinder dermaßen entmenschlicht, bis sie letzten Endes nur mehr für die Sache an sich stehen. Das ist sehr furchteinflößend und spannend zugleich.Doch der geplagte Antiheld weiß seine Urängste mit Liebe zu seiner Tochter zu übertrumpfen, Symbole und Metaphern finden sich im Film in vielen Szenen und legen über den Psycho-Horror eine bedeutungsschwangere Ebene purer Sozialkritik. Damit bekommt er eine überraschend große Wirkung und ist ein effektiver Psycho-Horror mit dramatischen Höhen mit Tiefgang. Toll!

Not a bad thriller, and that's because I couldn't decide whether this film really tried to tell us there was something not human here, when as I saw this was kids, weird ones....and as a film piece okay.
