Very good for back sleeping, not good for side or stomach sleeping
OK, well I have some minor gripes about this items, but I will still give this item 5 stars because the quality is very good and it seems a perfect blend of being firm enough to give support and not deflate, and yet soft enough that it's not like sleeping on a board. I think for it's intended purpose it is a great buy, my main complaint is that it's not comfortable for side/stomach sleeping but I don't think that ANY wedge would be good for that purpose, so I can't fault this one in particular.Pros: removable cover for washing, ideal firmness (not too hard or soft), folds up for easier storage, no smell that I could detect, very good for black sleeping, helps prevent acid reflux. For me, I can sleep on this on my back and not snore at all, but I will snore on my back without this. Not any hotter than my regular pillows.Cons: No good at all if you like to sleep on your side or stomach, this will throw your spine way out of whack so don't even try it! Upon first using it, it left a noticeable amount of little lint fibers all over my black sheets (granted I did not wash the cover before using it, that might have prevented this minor issue).

Not so good.
My last wedge pillow was Medslant. I’ve been using it for probably at least 5 years. I wanted to buy another to leave at a vacation home that we have, however, Medslant is no longer in business. I found this one that looked like and was the same measurements as the Medslant. I like the longer pillow because it’s more comfortable on your back and hip but It’s nothing like the Medslant. It is uncomfortably firm, has a defined separation at the fold and comes with a velour type cover. It does not come with a carrying case or pillow case. I very disappointed with this pillow and wish Medslant was still around.

I hate bed wedges
I hate bed wedges. Years ago, when I was an exchange student in Germany. almost every bed in the rented rooms I lived. I just tossed them off the bed and never used them. Now I have GERD and that has led to other complications such as asthma and Barrett's esophagus. The doctor put the fear of God into me, and her first requirement was to get a bed wedge. And I did. It wasn't this one, and it was awful. This folding bed wedge is available in varying thicknesses and heights. I chose the ten inch, since I won't be going to the very top with my head anyway and thus I can get to the proper height. Two things about this bed wedge are particularly nice: its foldability and the nice, soft cover. I'm still not comfortable on it, but that is not the fault of the wedge. The only negative for me is that the company won't ship to Hawaii nor Alaska, something we happen to need.

No smell
Product arrived on time. There is no smell to it. Cover is soft. The wedge is high so if that is what you are looking for it will fit the bill. It is a little to firm for me. I am a side sleeper but this would probably be better for someone that sleeps on the back.Good product but to high and to hard for me.

Works well, No problems after four weeks
I bought this to help with acid reflux at night. The previous wedge I used was to tall and steep for me to sleep comfortably. I've got the 7" version, which is high enough to help with reflux, but low and tapered enough to allow me to sleep fairly comfortably. I did not order the extra cover for it based on poor online feedback, and I'm glad I didn't. The standard cover works just fine - no pilling, and sufficient friction to slow down the inevitable slippage during the night. I weigh 190 lbs, and the pillow has kept it's shape nicely so far. I've never rolled off of it either, but I'm a pretty stationary sleeper. So far, it's turned out to be exactly what I needed.

Great ... then Not So Great
I loved this wedge ... for the first couple of weeks! It worked great, had the perfect amount of lift, supported my back when laying on it, was very comfortable and performed its function exactly as needed. However, the foam quickly seems to break down and become too soft. It is now much too soft and no longer as supportive as needed - my back aches and I can't feel the support under the bottom portion at all when laying on it. I also frequently roll off of the sides of it when not completely in the middle as the edges are too soft to be supportive and just sink down when you lay on them.I have tried flipping it over and reconfiguring it multiple times to no avail - the foam is just too soft now to work properly. The bottom portion of it also crumples up whenever I move around at night, causing uncomfortable wrinkles. It still works - sort of - as it raises your head up a few inches while sleeping (until you fall off it if you get too close to the softer edge!). However, it is not comfortable and does not support your back as a good wedge should.

Perfect To Help Breathing
This came at the perfect time. I had heart surgery and also had a collapsed lower lobe of my lung. I also had fluid around my heart and lungs. This wedge has allowed me to be comfortable sleeping while I recover. It helps me to breathe better because I’m propped up. I put a pillow behind it so if I’m further to the top of the wedge, I don’t hit my head on my headboard. It does not slide. I do find it to get a bit hot at times when I’m having a sweating issue due to what’s going on. I’m thinking of buying microfiber fabric and using Velcro strips to hold it in place on the wedge to see if that helps with it getting too hot. This is a little over 7 inches high. I’m thankful I didn’t go with the 12 inch wedge. I think that would have been way too high. I like how it folds up to put it away. I’m very pleased with this wedge. What price can you put on a good night’s rest???
