Beacon Phoenix 2 Bluetooth Speaker Siberian White OPEN BOX

Bought this speaker since other reviews were good. However it actually sounds really flat. I am somewhat bummed out by the sound quality.Other features such as linking to devices all seems to work well.

It's great for the money, but it's not great.

Best speaker I've used! No complaints, use indoor and by pool! Noise doesn't go super far when using outdoors so you have to set it close to pool but it carries just fine!

Good speaker, awful customer service. For its size, the speaker's sound quality is great, and it paired without problems...until one day it stopped working. Would not turn on, would not pair. Beacon Audio advertises a 1000 day warranty on all their products. Despite the product being well within this window and multiple phone calls and emails to them over the course of 3 months, there has been not a single response. Their facebook page, etc have not been updated since July. Its possible they've silently gone out of business, but I find that hard to believe. This company does not stand behind its product or its word.

Small package with big sound. Very clear audio with decent bass. The inclusion of a microphone is especially useful for phone calls. This is my second beacon audio Bluetooth speaker (other is the new blazar which is brilliant) and while the phoenix 2 is phatic the build quality is still excellent.

Great sound in a small package. Loud enough to jam but not to loud. Great for use at home and on the job site. Pairs up easily works great no complaints.

mine's siberian white, i'm a sucker for that color, and just into siberia in general so it's perfect. lot of people are already talking about the sound, and they're right on. it's really impressive for a speaker this small. play back on music is great, but i use mine mostly for streaming baseball games off my phone, via bluetooth, to the unit. bluetooth set up is way easier than the braven (another bluetooth speaker i've used) and the connection has been more reliable. i walk all around the house with the phone in my pocket, texting and writing emails, and the game feed never breaks. games have a way better sound on this speaker than any of the other ways i've listend. not an audio engineer, but they just have more depth, like the stadium and corwd sounds and the announcers are all distinct and clear, not muddy like they are with head phones, or just the phone speaker, or garbly like it sometimes got with the braven.other thing i'm impressed with is the battery life. i'm sort of up tight about conserving battery, so i make sure i turn the speaker off the same moment i end whatever i'm playing, but even if you don't it'll auto shut off in a few minutes.i like the design of the thing, and that they arent going for that brick-shaped-tiny-boom-box look. this is truly a different style of speaker for a whole new type of speaker. even those beats one, or are they called the pill? i don't know those things look dumb like they're trying to make you think it's still a boom box shape. this just makes more sense to me, fwiw. they're clean and not not too snazzy, but not boring either.

There are so many things to love about this compact speaker! First of all, the sound is AMAZING and so much better than other compact Bluetooth speakers that I tried. This speaker does take up a little more desk space than the ULTRA compact (personal speakers), however, the benefit is that I placed this in my kitchen (in the center of my home) and then walked into my home office (in the back of my home) and could hear my music playing plenty loud enough with this speaker!PROS:+ Speaker sound is on the sides so the music plays louder, richer and BETTER than speakers that have a tiny top mounted speaker.+ All needed controls are on the top and so easy to see: Volume Up, Volume Down, Song Forward, Song Back and the Microphone for phone calls (hands free calls).+ On the back and easy to read is the On/Off Slider Button, Line in audio (with included line in cord) for playing music on devices with no Bluetooth, Micro USB Port for charging (they sent USB Cord, but I used my old Micro USB Charger instead).+ To test this, I paired it with my Android phone, Android tablets and all paired and played with high quality and the treble notes and the bass all sounded superb.+ Very attractive and well made unit.Unit provided by Beacon Audio for my testing and review. Very happy to report that I am very impressed with this speaker. And I have it playing now as it is paired with my 7 inch tablet and what a beautiful sound!
