Too nice to hide in a wall
It's a trap primer! If you are installing a floor drain, you already know you need one. If you are looking at this one, then you already know this is one of the most affordable. I installed this trap primer to support my brewery floor drain. Directions were clear and easy to follow. The unit itself is very well machined and I have to say, nicely polished as well. It works very well and maintains the water level in the floor drain to prevent sewer gas from backing up. It is designed so that it can be taken apart and repaired if necessary, so remember to install a panel or door if this is going in a finished wall.

But the best solution is here before you
We have a number of these installed in our buildings, and some buildings with out them. Guess what, the ones with out "Stink"! we are constantly pooring water into the drains to control the sewer oders, we've even gone so far as to install trap plugs to help. But the best solution is here before you. We have hard water (30grains) so the scale is awful. but these thing operate well for us and will last 5-7 years before we have to mess with them. Great product, good value. We're sold!
