Fits great! Keeps the leaves and rain out! Critters too, so far!

It is waterproof but if too much water accumulates on top it will collapse in the the kayak. If it’s raining turn the kayak upside down.

I ordered 2 size large for our old Town loon 120 kayaks to cover the cockpit while transporting them, hopefully keeping the dusk and dirt from the road out of them. Both of them came off and almost lost my dashboards. One completely ripped off and wasn't able to find it on the road. The material was thin and straps was not strong. I don't recommend using this during any time of transporting. Also, I bought 2 the same size but 1 was also too small. I don't think it was cut very well during production.

This just fits the cockpit width of my 10 foot Menards Viper recreational kayak with a little room to spare on the cockpit length. Wish the fabric was heftier…I imagine anything sharp (like a branch) could poke through. We will have to be careful. Otherwise well made with nice attachments.

Good fit and good looking cover

I was so excited to have this and it worked great on the transport to the water unfortunately somewhere along the way home one of the bungee cords broke, the cord came out of the plastic clip piece. If it hadn’t broke, especially on the first trip I would of given this 5 stars. Because it was in the middle it leaves my cockpit unsecured and I’ll need to purchase another.

I needed a cockpit cover to keep rain out of my Perception Tempest 16.5' kayak if I load it the night before I go on a trek. I can't put the cover on my kayak before I load it on top of my car because I need it to be open to hoist it on my shoulder while loading. I have purchased a couple other cockpit covers, and they have either been too tight to easily put on while my boat is strapped down, or too loose to serve the purpose. This one is perfect. The clip attaches to the rigging on my kayak which assures it won't be lost if it ever gets blown off while I'm driving to my destination.

An easy to install expandable kayak cockpit cover that comes with 2 straps that secure it in place

Fits very well. Economical. And excellent product if modified and reinforced properly. All attachment point have to be resewn and reinforced. Recommend replacing fasteners with stronger nylon hooks. Only water resistant, but material can be treated. Basically, excellent template and base material for making your own cover.

It is doing the job....we will see how good it is on a car trip.
