Cider!
This little press is well worth the money in my estimation and a good value for the price. The cast iron parts are sturdy and the banded Oak slats well formed. It did come unfinished, but you are supplied with a small can of finish and a brush to slather it all on. I didn't care for the galvanized hardware holding the cast iron parts together figuring they'd rust and simply replaced them with stainless hardware I already had.It stated up front that it's not designed to crush whole apples, so I grated 10#'s of two different type apples using a food processor and that mash garnered over two quarts of cider from this little press! After pressing that mash, I used the food processor to re-grind the already pressed mash using the blade instead of grater to see what juice was left in it. I re-pressed that mash and only got about another 1/2pt, so it worked better then expected in juicing the first mash.I'm certain that this press would work extremely well on softer fruits like grapes or berries without busting a sweat.I couldn't be more pleased with this press and recommend it most heartily!

much better than cheese cloth
These worked very well, much better than cheese cloth. I wish they had been 9 or 10 inches, however I am very satisfied.

Good item.
I used the press to squeeze cherrys for cherry wine. It took some time but it did a good job.
