Adjustable Desktop Writing Slope Slant Board, Small 16"

This board is more expensive than the plastic versions, but it has the advantage of looking pretty decent in an office. It props at a wide range of angles, which is quite helpful (I use mine at nearly 90%, but others may prefer 15-25%). The board eliminates the need to lean forward when reading sitting at a desk. It can help with writing as well. It also eliminates the need to use long-distance glasses for people who are nearsighted enough to need long-distance glasses for reading or writing. The area is large and can be used to prop three letter-size pages next to each other in portrait orientation. The small protrusion that helps hold a book on the board is somewhat small for my use, but this is because I use the board primarily for reading; someone who needs it for writing would be pleased that the protrusion is only in the middle of the lower edge and, therefore, doesn't interfere with writing.

This is sturdy to write on. You can set the height, which is nice. It's really big - I probably should've measured the space. I takes up the whole open space on my home desk. It also folds flat, so I can take it with me to work pretty easily if I want to.

I bought this product for my husband, He suffers from a neurological disease, and can no longer speak. He has a very expensive alternative augmentative communication device, but it is too complicated for him to use effectively. Recently my husband had an appointment with a occupational therapist who had in her office a slant board very similar to this one. Seeing my husband work with that therapist inspired me to purchase this product. I put a dry erase whiteboard on this writing slope. I can adjust the slant board so he can see the white board, and he is able to write on it. He will not win any awards for penmanship, but this is by far the best aid to communication that we have found! Being able to communicate at least basic things makes an enormous difference in his quality of life, and mine.P.S. I like the slant board myself. It is very pleasing to the hand and eye.

Measure carefully and really imagine this on your workspace--how much space it will take and what it will block when raised. It's huge. I can't even use it on my large computer table

It’s awesome quality. But is a little heavy for my wife. She likes the coating on it. And easy to fold up. I got it for her for her neck pain at work.

I love this slant board. My neck was complaining with so much desk time with reading, writing and also artwork and coloring. It helps with just about anything I do at my desk! It seems very well made and I especially like the arm "holes" where you can comfortably rest your arms. It is very solid and attractive. I ordered the small size which is just fine - even for doing artwork.

I'm an illustrator who started developing back issues and I needed to invest in an adjustment table before they got worse. Since where I'm living now won't be able to fit a full table, I invested in the 16" version of what I needed. And I hardly leave it alone because I love it so much!! My work has even improved because I can see it at a better angle than a flat surface!-It can be a little heavy to lug around after awhile, but storage is easy.-Hands and pens will rest easy on the unique holder on the bottom.-No squeaking, no sliding (depending on your surface), and no wobbling (again, depends on the surface)If you are skilled at woodworking, I'm sure there's a blueprint of how to make one yourself. But if you need it and need it done well, this is for you. All writers, readers, and artists alike will benefit from this.(I provided some photos since this page needs some updated ones.)

It does the job. I'm looking forward to less neck- and back-strain ...
