I'm a life long blues fan and harmonica player - Wolf is a hero and a great influence on me - this is a excellent compilation of his work - highly recommended.

How can you go wrong with a collection of 60 of Howlin' Wolf's classics? Well, how about by leaving out ANY liner notes, no history, no info about when the songs were recorded or supporting musicians? Aside from that abysmal failure, the actual sound is excellent, considering that many early songs were recorded as early as 1951, there is little notable tape hiss or vinyl noise on those mono recordings, and many recorded later are in glorious stereo. I guess you can go to Wikipedia for the missing information that any decent "absolutely essential" package should include automatically.

Howling Wolf is Great !

An excellent introduction to the Blues ( even more so if you are a fan of Don Van Vliet ) 3 cd set for an amazing price 5⭐️ all the way 👍🏻👍🏻

A fantastic 3-CD set of Howling Wolf. Every blues fan should have these tracks in their collection. The delivery was quick and the item appropriately packaged. Great price. A little gem.

I haven't listened to as much in the way of Blues as I would like to, but, having listened to this compilation I have to say that Howlin' Wolf's energy and presence just shines through.... This is a fantastic introduction to what must be the golden age of Blues.
