A fantastic challenge
Challenging build, sometimes requires an uneasy amount of pressure but end result is solid and an engineering marvel!

Cheap wood and fragile
If you’re competent you can assemble. It’s cute but very fragile. More as a piece of art than for actual use. Very sad but again. It is cute

Does not come with inserts like the description says
I bought the DM screen and it says it comes with inserts, got the product and no inserts. Contacted Ugears and discovered there was a mixup with the description. DM screen looks really nice. Now I need to find some inserts to put in it.

Fun to build and use but will not hold letter size pages correctly
I received the DM screen kit as a Christmas gift to replace my well-loved vinyl screen that is currently held together by tape, binder clips, and force of will. This is my first U-Gears product and I enjoyed every minute of construction. Instructions are clear and the final product is sharp. One foot that might need a little glue, but otherwise everything holds together tightly. The built-in dice tower is fun to use although you shouldn't try to roll handfuls of dice at once. Opening and closing the screen is smooth and, given proper storage, I expect this to last a long time.Unfortunately, fitting inserts to the screen is a bit less fun. Everything I'd seen said the panels are letter size--which is great, because that's what I normally print. That quickly proved untrue though. The middle two panels were too narrow to fit the pages into the rubber bands correctly. They bowed out significantly and caught when closing the screen. I ended up rotating my adventure sheet (which changes regularly) to an outside panel (not ideal since I reference it constantly) and cutting 1/2" off the width of each of the middle two inserts so they can lie flat when held by the rubber bands. There's a second requirement for inserts as well. Panels are open in the middle with rubber bands only on one side. This creates the frame effect for the players opposite the screen, but requires that all the pages be stacked on top of each other on the DM side. Stacking normal paper quickly results in corners catching when manipulating the frame. I printed on double sided cardstock and rounded the corners to prevent this. I'm hopeful that this will provide enough backing for any new player-facing images I rotate in during games.Overall I'm happy with the product and find it fits together perfectly. Still, I'm disappointed that it cannot properly accommodated letter sized paper in the middle two panels.

No cheat sheets/inserts
This product said it came with A4/8.5x11” cheat sheets. It does not. This was not something I wanted to discover on Christmas morning when I give it to my husband and he can’t use it out of the box.
