Versatile, adaptable EDC pouch
3 months now with the PD Field Pouch, I believe I've finally found my near-perfect EDC ninja man-purse. Construction is excellent and materials are uncommon yet thoughtfully chosen. For example, the "waxed 500D Kodra" is more resistant to water and snagging than Cordura, and at least as durable and protective. Its hook-and-loop closure is *vastly* higher quality than your standard Velcro: more effective and durable, much quieter, and doesn't attract and get gummed-up with lint and debris! Most important for me, its design is genuinely versatile and adaptive: 3 pairs of interior pockets organize a surprising array of EDC items, yet its main cavity can expand to accommodate additional odd-shaped and/or bulky items. My EDC--alarming only to those not over-prepared for the zombie apocalypse--includes: multi-tool, Swiss Army knife, small First Aid kit, pencil, pen, mini Sharpie, mini notebook (Apica A7), Matador Mini pocket blanket, Kleenex packet, Wet Wipes, comb, AAA light, mini compass, lens cleaning pen and cloth, peanut lighter, lip balm, duct tape 24", 8' of paracord, nail clipper, 3' tape measure, pick set, 2 hex wrenches, mini fire starting kit, travel sewing kit, and cash. These items are organized mostly in pockets, not jumbled together, each easy to retrieve and replace; and they fit with the pouch lid folded all the way down. With room to spare. By unfolding the lid and expanding the cavity, I can add, for example, a Moleskine pocket journal, sunglasses, sunscreen, and portable phone charger. Or rolled-up windbreaker or light sweater. For reviewer Anthony C. and others who want a larger "6L or 9L version": see PD's 8L-10L Everyday Sling. If you want a strap, the PD SlideLite is overkill; PD Leash is better for $15 less. Or, if you don't want to buy, you can make an adjustable, removable one from paracord or 3/32" tether cord.Complaints? I'd prefer the bottom corners be squared rather than tapered. I get this is to accommodate vertical bulge if you carry a lens or similar. But the taper compromises some space in the interior pockets and, when standing the Field Pouch on its side in a bigger bag, it can 'roll' rather than sit squarely due to the tapered corners. But this is *really* nitpicking. Again, overall, this is the very best EDC pouch I've found to date--I love it.

New design not like picture shown.
It’s well made as is my experience with peak design products. However, I was disappointed to get one that is obviously a new design and not like the picture. I had purchased one 1-2 years ago and loved it. I do not like the new design as well, and was disappointed, particularly since the picture showed the old design.

Highly recommended. It's a great wearable pouch.
Peak Design The Field Pouch Lens Pouch -Heritage Tan- I love this pouch. I don't use it for camera gear. Rather, when coupled with a Peak Design strap, it fits perfectly next to the wearer's body. I put my keys, wallet, phone, pen, paper and reading glasses in this pouch, which keeps those essentials organized when I go out with my camera. It's the perfect bag because it's not like a dangling accessory that slips off my shoulder. It's compact and fits close to my body; so it doesn't interfere with my camera backpack. Recently I dropped my keys in a parking lot when I went to shoot. I was gone for an hour. Fortunately, I found my keys on my return. However, had I had this pouch, I would have known where my keys were. Similarly, this is a great place to put my phone and keep it protected. Since I shoot at the beach, I'm always concerned about keeping my phone some place dry, and not in my pocket, since I do get splashed by waves.

Great materials in a smaller package than the Tech Pouch
I've heard great things about Peak's Tech Pouch, but I just didn't really need something that large. Their Field Pouch looked to be right up my alley though, and fits my tech with ease. Inside is my external HDD, earbuds, USB-C and micro-USB charging cables, and the Peak leash strap for my camera or the pouch itself. It even fits my GX85 with a low-profile lens, which makes it a perfect tiny bag for short excursions.I haven't used the belt loops to attach it as a waist pack, but the materials back there feel as durable as the rest of the pouch. Ultimately I would have preferred a clasp design over the velcro, but the velcro makes it quick and easy to get in and out of the pouch.

A little disappointed
A bit disappointed. The design id the bag had changed. The straps on the back are no longer the high quality seat belt fabric, but instead are the same material as the bag itself just with some slits cut in it. They don't seem nearly as sturdy. If anything the velcro seems like a downgrade as well, and the little pouches for the attachment thingies are gone. The only option if you don't like them dangling about is removing them.

Great little bag
I really like this travel bag. I often have lots of little things to carry so I use it to store my random camera items but when I want to make a quick scouting trip or go on a small hike and not bring my gear I think it is the perfect size. I also like that it can be used with my peak design strap. Their products are great quality and this is one of them.

misleading advertisement
Dimensions listed on Amazon as 13 x 6 x 1. In actuality it is 9 x 5 x 1 (length tapers from 10 at the top to 8 at the bottom). Don't be fooled.

All my photo accessories fit in there.
Love this pouch to keep my photos filter, accessories, extra batteries with charger, cables, etc. Pack as much as you can. Not enough room to keep an extra small lens though. Fits nicely in my backpack. Use it to walk around slid on my belt. Should have bought the charcoal color though. This one is too visible.

Perfect Street Photog Day Bag
After twenty years of photography I've found my perfect day bag.For a start the design is really nice, beautiful material, functional, well made and with an understated style.Second, it's the right size, I'm predominately a street photog and shoot smallish cameras: OMD EM1, Ricoh GR. I need a bag for a few accessories and potentially another camera or lens and this bag will fit it all, just. With pockets for my phone backup battery, memory cards, batteries etc. It also has a roll top so expands high and thin, low and wide or as small as can be.Third, it hangs well, seeing as it's not structured with pads it's not always sticking out from your hip and thus slowly pulling the strap off your shoulder. That was a welcome surprise. The peak design clip system means my strap can also be my camera strap too and the bag can attach to my belt.Fourth, the capture system that works with the bag takes it up a whole new level. As a street photog you often have to put your camera down or away because you need to interact with something or someone. Of course you can let it dangle if it's around your neck, but I don't do that. I prefer hand straps. So with the optional capture clip you just snap the camera onto the front of the bag and it hangs their all safe and locked too if you want to. That allows me to seem like I don't even have a camera when I want to, but if nothing else it's just so practical being able to quickly put your camera away and grab it again without a flap or zip in the way.So yeah peak design hit all my buttons here with a great bag and system. I can't say it'll be the same for you, but if you're a street photog with relatively minimal gear it'll likely work really well.

Great addition!
Use: Everyday carry, weekend trips essentials===PROS===- unique colour- comes with 2 anchor links- ability to use with existing peak design straps (i.e. slide lite)- inner mesh pockets are soft to touch and durable- roll top velcro is expandable/compressible===CONS===- don't store heavy things in the pouch as the loops at the back will start to pull/weaken- the hidden zipper pocket is not very useful. Would be better if there was no divider
