works good if you Modded it like me
I had to modify mine to get it to even look like it had tension. I have an Accuscreen that has no tension that was less wavy without the curled edges. I tried to adjust the tension which had little or worst effect on the screen. when I purchased this i saw the reviewer with the pictures of the screen he was trying to RMA and I thought so many people left positive reviews so he must be picky or just a complainer. well I got mine and have had it over a year and from day one the edges where the tension strings are were curled just like his photo. they instruct you to leave it down to get the wrinkles out and for the most part this works if I leave it down for a couple of days but I could never get the edges straight. I've had the tension strings totally loose and I've tightened it to where it would cause the screen to wrinkle more nothing helped. After I let it sit and the waves settle the one reviewer that said you won't notice the tiny waves is 100% correct and the picture looks good only my edges were always curled. I guess this is considered a low end screen because people keep saying the thing that I hate the most when they reading reviews. "FOR THE MONEY ITS A GOOD ______" I hate that because $400 - $500 it a lot too me so for the money I want a product to be as advertised even if it was $1. I'm not complaining about the tiny waves because you can't see them watching a movie so I gave it 3 stars.I know I didn't buy an IMAX screen. But to have a tension screen that curls the edges worst than my accuscreen without tension is bad. Once I modded mine to get rid of the curls its a pretty good screen. But had I thought of my mod and used it on the Accuscreen before I purchased this I probably would not have made this purchase. I added 3lbs weights. I may need to add 5lbs to the left side.

Avoid at all costs
This is an awful product and even worse seller!! The screen just wouldn't work once installed and i immediately raised a return request. I called the person on the number that was printed on the return label and he didn't even have a clue about the RA reference number i gave him. Moreover he was extremely rude and was asking me why the product isn't working as if i was technical expert on the matter. And why should i be paying for returning a defective piece of equipment?!

Elite Screens don't fulfill its warranty!
We use it less than a few times and the gear is not working any more. Elite Screens will not honor the warranty. Stay away with companies that don't fulfill their commitments.

High quality picture, no waves in the screen but slightly lopsided.
The picture quality on this screen is great and works well with my new Epson Home Cinema 4010 4K projector. Generally looks quite bright and no graniness.I especially like the installation flexiblity with the sliding brackets, since the studs in your wall may not be exactly aligned to the center of the screen and I prefer to install into the studs instead of dry-wall for stability. It would be even better if the sliding brackets could be locked into place, but in general the weight of the screen seems to prevent it from sliding around.I have had the screen up for about a month now and have found that there is generally no waviness in the screen, which is a relief since the previous Mustang screen I had developed waves in the first couple of months. While the waves were not noticeable in general, in scenes where the camera panned left and right they were noticeable. So I'm very glad that this screen doesn't have this issue (so far). If the screen remains flat, that will have saved me a chunk of money over getting the tab-tensioned series, which run almost $1K more. The biggest issue I have with the Elite Screen Spectrum is that the right side hangs about 1.5 inches lower than the left side. I have verified that this is not an installation issue (verified it with a level), but actually the way the screen is mounted to the frame itself. I was able to compensate for it partially by adjusting the notes on the hanging screws but there still remains a 1/2 inch lopsidedness. For scenes where there is a border above and below the picture, it's not noticeable. For scenes that are using the full 16:9 aspect ratio, it is noticeable.

An amazing screen, priced well-below it's true value
I purchased this Elite Screens 84" projection screen to replace a 120" screen, which I received an excellent deal on, about one year ago. The larger screen simply did not fit my small studio condo very well, and I was looking for something both smaller, and higher quality. The model I purchased, met every requirement on my list. I wanted a screen which was motorized, with a remote control, had a black housing, could be ceiling hung, and was well reviewed. I was able to get this particular Elite Screens model at a very good price, and from a Canadian retailer, so I jumped at the chance. When it arrived, I could tell straight away that this was a high-quality product. It was well-packaged, and included everything one would need to install the screen in any of it's hanging configurations. All of the hardware was laid-out very nicely, separated by different type, on a plastic/cardboard card. Also included, was a small plastic, magnetic level, which stuck to the screen's metal housing. A very nice touch which came in extremely handy when it came time for the screen's installation. All directions were very clear, and easy to understand, making installation an almost effortless job.The screen has a wall-mountable raise/lower control panel, in addition to the included wireless remote control, with the latter including a wall-mounted holster-type holder, to aid in keeping track of another easy-to-misplace remote. The wall-mounted control connects to the screen's housing, via a quality CAT5 cable/plug assembly. Both controls work well, and the motorized motion of the screen is both quiet, and smooth. The screen itself, reflects a very high quality image, better than the 120" screen which I was using previously. It unrolls very flat, with no bumps, or divots, and assists my Sony ultra-short-throw projector in delivering a crystal-clear picture, no matter what I happen to be watching.I am very pleased with my purchase of the Elite Screens 84" motorized projection screen, and would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great-quality screen, at a reasonable price. A definite all-around winner!

Elite Screens Spectrum - Solid Screen!
I set up a home theatre in my basement this year with a projector and this screen. I'm usually quite picky as to what products I purchase so I had put a lot of research into this screen prior to making the purchase. I debated if I should go with the manual pull down (less to go wrong), but ultimately, I went with this one. I have not been disappointed so far. Quite frankly, the "automatic drop" of the screen give you the movie theatre experience. The item arrived in excellent condition. Setting it up was reasonably easy however you certainly will want two people to secure it to the ceiling (or however you are making the install). The screen rolls down nice and smooth and there are no wrinkles in the screen. There is an odour when the screen is unrolled but leave it unrolled for a couple of days and the smell goes away. The remote is a simple up/down operation and you can stop the screen during the up/down process.I have had this in operation about 4 months and so far no issues to report.

Really clean look and very smooth operation
I did a lot of searching online before deciding to purchase the Elite Screens 100" motorized screen. I wanted a black casing to match my ceiling and this had it. It also comes with a remote, a IR extender and a 12v trigger. I wanted to hook up the trigger but realised I actually had to run a wire from the screen to my projector so I gave up on that. The remote works flawlessly and the motor is very quiet. Installing it was very simple, I bought 2 hooks at my local hardware store and screwed it onto the 2x8. It also sounds pretty cool when it's dropping down. Very smooth operation, color is very good on it, almost no light leak from the rear. It might be on the expensive side but its doing its job.

Easy to install and works right out of the box.
Very easy to install by two (preferably 3 people). It's heavy but well balanced. The lowering and raising of the screen was smooth and so far I've had no issues in the little time I've had the screen. It's fairly sleek and not intrusive. I have a light grey wall and with the screen half raised and the image thrown on both the difference was not huge. I would however recommend the screen for the sharpness versus a plain wall.

Excellent product for cost
Had this for few months now and no complaints, quality and durability is great. No noticeable changes after being left in open position for a long period of time. Picture quality is very good. Has some minor waving in it, but no effect on overall image quality, for cost of screen i can't really complain.Customer service was excellent, very fast to respond and went above and beyond to make sure i was a happy camper. I would have no hesitation to purchase from Elite again.
