Better than Logitech's Flagship Webcam - the BRIO? Yes, actually.
Review: NexiGo N970P 4K Webcam: A Brief Comparison to the Logitech BRIO and NexiGo N960E FHD WebcamsDisclosure statement: While no bias was intended for this review, I cannot rule out its possibility. The primary reason I am writing this review is because I joined the NexiGo Product Trial Program. As an incentive for writing an “honest, unbiased review” (words chosen in NexiGo’s emailed instructions to me), NexiGo will reimburse me for the cost of the N970P (which I bought on sale at Amazon for $169.99). That said, I believe this to be a fairly objective review.I have been (and continue to be) a HUGE Logitech fan because of the unparalleled quality of their keyboards, mice, and webcams. In fact, I am writing this review using a Logitech K380 wireless keyboard and the MX Master 3 mouse. Both are fantastic. And recently I achieved a pretty significant goal of saving up sufficient money to purchase a laptop with the computing power large enough to handle the Logitech BRIO webcam. (My previous laptops would quickly freeze up when tasked with handling the processing of the BRIO.) That day was special and was similar to the phenomenon of upscaling my TV signal from the grainy non-digital antenna signal to digital HD.Well, that day was somehow eventually improved upon in early May of 2022 when I sifted through Amazon’s webcam offerings and came across a brand of webcams I had never heard of - the Nexigo. At the time I was quite happy with my BRIO webcam. The only reason I bought the NexiGo N960E FHD webcam was to see how superior the BRIO was to this new competitor. Note that this is not the webcam of central focus in this review. But when I received the N960E and plugged it in and noted how VERY close it performed next to the BRIO, my interest in the NexiGo brand was established. When I came across an invitation to try other Nexigo devices, I jumped at the opportunity but had no expectation of gaining entry to this program. But on May 19th when I somehow qualified for testing, I was afforded the opportunity to try the N970P 4K Webcam, which appeared to be the big, big brother of my N960E webcam. All I had to do was buy it off of Amazon, write a review, and get reimbursed after proving I had bought the webcam and written a review. Here is a brief summary of my experience with the NexiGo N970P thus far…Upon unpacking the N970P, I was most affected by its monstrous size, at least when compared to the BRIO. It is roughly the same height as the BRIO at about 1 inch, it is nearly double the length (7” vs 4”) and 2 times deeper (1 and ¾” vs 1”) than the BRIO. And it is HEAVY. I had some initial concern of placing it atop my new laptop, but this fear was abated when I manipulated its super-sturdy attached monitor stand. I thought for sure its ponderous size would translate to unwieldy weight distributions which would cause it to drop from my razor thin Samsung Notebook with high frequency. It has not fallen once, and I do not think it has anything to do with Samsung. I’m no physicist, but the N970P just seems to be weighted correctly. It may be huge, but it is just as agile as the BRIO.The next thing I noticed about the N970P occurred when I plugged it in. I felt like I had installed a mirror to my laptop, because its clarity of detail and wide field of view was just as good as the reflection provided by my wall mirror that sits adjacent to my computer desk. The mirror comparison may sound weird, but I am telling you, I was blown away by both the camera and video quality of this webcam. In fact, this experience was closer in overall effect of first experiencing HD over standard definition in TVs than my initial experience with the BRIO.My methodology for this review was simple. I compared 3 webcams: the NexiGo N970P 4K, the Logitech BRIO, and my first NexiGo, the N960E FHD. I simply positioned each camera in identical positions around my room and noted which had the best video quality (each video was about 5 seconds each). I varied the positions by distance from me and height off the ground. That was it. Hey, they said I just had to write a review so I think I did ok, having never done one of these. It doesn’t even matter because the results were clear from the get-go. Regardless of distance or height, the N970P outperformed the other 2 webcams. I mean, the BRIO came close a couple times, but not once did it look better based on these 2 parameters. I mean it looked GOOD. But the NexiGo N970P captures reality better than any other web camera I have experienced. So, that’s it, friends. That’s my review. I hope you got something from it that will inform your decision on your next webcam purchase. In practice I keep all 3 webcams hooked and ready to go, but when I need the best shot, I alternate between the BRIO and the N970P 4K. I find myself going with the N970P with more frequency than the BRIO. Both are really good.

Good price. Works with Windows Hello. Disable USB selective suspend to avoid shutter not opening.
I bought this mainly for WIndows Hello as a login device. I had a lot of issues getting the shutter to auto open until I disabled USB selective suspend in the power plan settings for Win 11. Once disabled the cam shutter works most of the time without prompting. This is likely an issue caused by Microsoft's poor implementation to save a fraction of a watt. Thanks MS.Cam works fine for video conferencing. Video and audio are good for the price. The built-in stand allows it to sit on monitors of varying bezel thickness and the cam can be tilted up/down and side-to-side.

Excellent Web Camera
I purchased this Hello Camera back in November of 2022. I always wait for a period of time before I leave a review so as to put it through it's paces, figuring out it's functions, what I like and don't like, etc. So here goes:I am completely impressed with this camera. It is truly plug and play, works with Skype, Facetime, Skype flawlessly. Is true 1080P. Works with Windows and iOS platforms with no problems. The overall construction of it is solid. It has a bit of weight to it so as to not slide around easily when seated atop a monitor. It can be rotated 360 degrees, up and down, and can be attached to a camera or phone tripod or use the footing with the camera for virtually any positional location you may need. The only limit to position is the length of the USB cord. I really like the automatic lens shutter. It opens when the camera is in use, closes when not. Every person that I have contacted while using this camera has said the clarity is excellent as well as the sound, as the camera has dual microphones. I do use the camera with a personal mic setup with others as I collaborate with other musicians. But in no way do I think the dual mics are not sufficient for home use. I've used the camera seated atop my monitor, on a camera tripod, phone/gopro tripod, and set on my computer desktop. The IR lens is great as it auto adjusts the picture in any light condition. It also quite compact, which I really like. Now for dislikes:Compared to my previous camera it cannot be tilted left or right. It can only be rotated 360 degrees, and up/down. So if you have some leveling issues you will need to find a way to fix that. Unfortunately I had to use some folded paper under it to help level the picture. While it is of solid construction, I cannot recommend it be placed on top of a laptop monitor. When I did that, it would hop across the top or fall off from typing. If used just for a meeting or call it would work just fine. But be mindful if you want to use your keyboard while using the camera as it could vibrate off and vibration from typing will translate to the picture and sound as well. Also, it has a fixed focus. Meaning it doesn't have zoom or withdraw or fine focus features. Some other webcams in their line do that. Tension on the USB cable can be a little bit of a pain. What I mean is if the camera is positioned in such a way that it is close to the end of the cable length it has a tendency to turn the camera and make you appear like you're "creeping" out of frame. it may be due to the pivot point on this camera, but my N60 did not do that. I do wish that within the camera software there be a way for the end user to adjust the size/frame of the video picture. So I can adjust myself from 16:9 to 4:3, etc. I have only found it has to be done in another app. If there is a way, I haven't found it yet.So to sum up, most of my dislikes are just a personal preference and a fraction are of the camera itself. I really am impressed with this camera and absolutely recommend it. For what you get in the camera it has a fantastic price! I was very surprised by that. I wish that Amazon would let us give 1/2 stars as I give this camera a solid 4.5 stars. My dislikes are what has me taking a half star away.NexiGo will be my go-to camera manufacturer from now on. I've told all my family and friends if they have any need for a webcam, or any of their other products, to give them a try. And I recommend you do the same!

Works as advertised.
Good price and good performance if you want the luxury of face recognition logins on Windows 11. Works exactly as described, it's a keeper for me. Focuses well on the subject. Lot of products have misleading descriptions or performance claims, this is not the case. The microphone is fairly directional, the dog can bark during a conference call without having to mute. I'm not going to ding the review here for noise cancellation, it's sufficient at this price point. Video resolution is as advertised.
