I’m ashamed to admit how much money we’ve spent on Schleich toys! But the quality is just so superior that it’s worth it. This set is no exception. My daughter started with Schleich toys and now my son has joined in with this set. He’s WAY tougher on toys than she is yet it’s built withstand even him. Plus, their customer service has just been amazing when I’ve had to try to find a lost part. We have yet to truly break a piece.

Notes for adult collectors: This jeep is definitely 1:18 scale. It's 22-24cm long (depending on if you include the bumpers) and 10-12cm wide (depending if you include the wheel flares). This puts it in the right range of being a 1:18-scale jeep. It looks good next to a GI Joe or Joy Toy 1:18 figure. HOWEVER, your Joes will not fit unless you cut holes for their legs to fit through. There just isn't enough leg room to get their legs into the car and still be properly sitting. Luckily, that's probably the easiest possible mod since it's just a hole and it's so well-hidden from the outside that you don't need to make it clean. Nonetheless, it is a mod that will permanently alter the toy.Otherwise, this is a really high quality piece with tons of unexpected detailing and care that you don't see in many mass market toys these days. Almost all of the headlights are actual clear plastic pieces rather than the cheap sticker headlights like you might see in a Jurassic Park toy truck. The wheels are all fully rubber as well (on both sides). The side and back doors are functional, there is a hatch in the center console and the winch has a small rope and can spin. A wonderful toy for any child or child at heart.

Compared to toys or sets that simply recreate what's on television, these sets are themed-- but encourage imaginative play where kids can take the storyline anywhere they want.High quality and lots of little details and fun pieces make up these sets and you can add on with dozens of other types of dinosaurs. Am already looking at all the many other detailed and accurate species of dinosaurs Schleich offers. My nephew will love this set if I can get it away from my husband :)
