Such a great book
This book is so good and very intriguing, I cannot believe it is a true story. I picked it up after watching the series on TV, but the book has way more information and is so well written. Definitely a thriller.

Keeps you thinking
You know who is involved and who was killed. But it keeps you wondering will they get away with murdering their classmate? Super sad and great ending 😭

Ok read
The novel started off good and had me interested. Midway the story got very slow and predictable. I think the show is more interesting and a nail biter than the novel.

great yet tragic book
This is an extremely well written book about a terrible crime, that I was not aware of. It reads like a fiction, and touches on both the horrible aspects of humanity and the redeeming qualities of humanity as well. I highly recommend it!

Pack paper back books wrapped on a careful manner!
I received this book along with all sorts of things to save postage and have fewer boxes! But the book was just placed in the large box without care! It’s fine and readable but in the future please seperately wrap the book, especially a paper back! Thank you!

Heartbreaking and informative
This true crime book was a heartbreaking but thoughtfully retold story of Reena Virk. I didn't know anything about this previously as these kids were slightly older than I was at the time but saw this and became interested as I too live in the PNW. The topic was sad and disturbing-the book was filled with facts, interviews , and many points of view. I always hesitate to say a true crime book is great because these accountings are real and tragic but I'm glad I know Reena's story and I think it's important as many people see and hear it as possible. There are a lot of issues this book underlines that are still issues today. I only hope her story and the story of these children involved helps the people capable of making changes to these issues able to do so-so things like this stop happening.

Interesting and Sad story
I did enjoy the book. The story is pretty unreal/unbelievable. Sadly, the author passed away in Fall 2022. It was just an awful situation and sad.

Under the Bridge
Amazing research, I can't imagine how many hours and hours and hours . . . very well written. Helps me understand the difficult true life event that changed so many lives. Deeply moving and disturbing, yet written without any judgement. I really appreciate this author for her sense of balance and the clarity of her storytelling.

What a sad story.
Under The Bridge ReviewThis story is so unbelievably sad and disturbing. As I’m reading it I honestly can’t believe what this poor girl went through at the hands of so many. It really shows how lob mentality works. It’s hard to believe that these are kids aged between 13-17 years old. They’re just babies and they completely ruin their lives in just one night. My heart breaks for Reena Virk and her family. The book itself is well written however I did find that it dragged a bit and had some unnecessary stuff put in.On a moonlit night in November 1997, 14 year old Reena Virk went to a party with some of her friends near the idyllic waters of Victoria British Columbia. She never returned home. A week later, her body was found by police divers, and eight teenagers, seven of them girls, were arrested. What follows is a bunch of he said she said and police were forced to go through it all to really find out what happened that night, and who ultimately was responsible.

Well researched but …
I love true crime and I was especially excited to read this story, which took place close to where I currently live. Altho the story was well researched it was very poorly written. Must be the author’s style. It was too disjointed and awkward. I had a hard time making it all the way through.
