Why does Amazon claim this is 100% cotton, yet when I go to the Laura Ashley website, they list the quilt as polyester filled?

I had originally purchased this quilt thinking that it was 100% cotton; when I received it, I was disappointed to read on the label that it was in fact comprised of other materials, including something called "assembled fibers" or something like that. I decided to return it, because fabric is important to me and I like to know what I am getting. I will say that it was a very pretty quilt which made me sad to return it, However, I didn't want to compromise on quality and/or health. I notified Amazon at the time of return that my reason was that it was not in fact 100% cotton, so I am surprised that the website does not reflect the correct information. I hope this helps in making your decision.

Is this heavy weight or lighter?

It is a lighter weight spread. Very pretty and colorful, but not heavy.

Does anything match the quilt like are there cushions, rugs in this print ect?

There are lined curtain panels available and a window valance of the Lidia pattern. Also a quilted European sham(pillow) set(they are just solid light pink though).

What are the washing instructions? Did the quilt shrink when you washed it?

Cold machine wash on delicate cycle. It is a very generous sized quilt floor length on my double bed. Not washed mine as yet but went by others feedback who have bought this quilt that it washes beautifully very minimal shrinkage colours still vibrant.
