Works with 1080Ti + Sony KD-65XH9005
I just bought a returned adaptor for give a shot and it works perfectly with GTX 1080Ti connected to Sony XH9005 TV. Not flashing like on LG TVs which ones are have fake HDMI 2.1. Because of the bandwidth limit of PD 1.4 only works on 4K 120Hz 10bit 422. or 4K 60Hz 10bit 442.

Buggy to the point of being unusable
As the other reviews covered, there are a lot of known caveats in using this converter (e.g. no g-sync, slow response from tv, flickering), but my adapter didn't even work half the time (with a 2080 Super). The display options available would frequently change in the Nvidia control panel, sometimes the signal would just totally glitch out, going fullscreen in a game required power cycling the adapter. Sometimes turning on my PC, a proper signal wouldn't output and the attached display wouldn't be recognised

Not impressed considering the cost
on a quest for 4k 120Hz? Well in my experience this was a total waste of time and money. Despite researching thoroughly and reading the compatibility lists the performance is questionable. I have the correct HDMI lead, suitable graphics card, latest drivers etc. The result is 4K 120Hz but with an epically compressed video image. Its all vectorised and the colour field is super limited not 8bit but nor is it 16bit in appearance. I was told when I contacted support this degradation was to be expected due to the nature of the conversion however that's not exactly advertised! I couldn't put up with for longer than half hour so sold the lot on. Pointless gadget.

Disappointing
PC (2080ti) connected to an LG C9 with an appropriate HDMI cable. So it does give you the 4k HDR 120hz if you connect properly however:1. Slow connection speed: The TV now takes a very long time to recognise that something is connected to it, and flickers on and off several times in the process.2. No g-sync.3. TV no longer triggers "game mode" by default.4. Screen flickers on and off randomly throughout.5. TV now recognises PC as a new, different device every time you reconnect and therefore reverts the image settings back to their default values every time.6. Not that this type of thing necessarily needs instructions, but for the price and for those who need them, the instructions are a confusing badly translated mess.7. The hdmi connection port on the device feels flimsy and cheap.I feel like this product asks you to sacrifice way too much for the sake of 120hz.I suspect that this is the rushed version of what was supposed to be a great product.Returned.

Not a recommended buy for LG CX users
This adapter is completely not usable - it requires hard resets (unplugging and replugging the adapter) upon every reboot or resolution change. And this is not an isolated incidence - this is a design flaw. Buyers beware.

Okay but unreliable
I would have rated this 5 stars but its very fiddly and after about 11 months using it with my RTX 2080 ti and LG 65NANO918 the HDMI controller burnt out and melted the other casing of the adapter and now no longer displays so now I need to use a normal DP1.4 to HDMI 2.0 and only use a max of 4096x2160@60 or 2560x1440@120 8Bpc and CR422 so not a very good product.

Does not work
5700xt with LG CX does not work. Only outputs YCbCr420 at 120hz and unable to output HDR. Rip off and false advertising. Very disappointed
