Handy, functional meat thermometer at a very good price.
Just as advertised. It's a quality meat probe style thermometer suitable for use in any cooking or baking application. The probe is long enough that it can be used to measure internal temperatures of meats on a charcoal or gas grill without cooking one's fingers at the same time. Note: the thermometer does require a small (camera style) battery (not included).-- I keep a supply of those LR44 sized batteries at home (they are very inexpensive if you buy them in bulk) because I have a number of devices that use that size...If you don't want to order a hundred or so, they are available for a dollar or two and any electronics or computer store.

Item Did Not Function/No Battery Included
We were disappointed with this item. There is no battery information included and no brand name on item to help look up information about it. Our item arrived without a battery and when we took it to a special battery store to get one, we discovered it was broken. It is very lightweight and cheap. Would not recommend.

Didn't realize it didn't come with a battery. I did find that in the fine print after I looked again. Ordered batteries. Get to wait for them. Maybe I'll change this review after I get the battery.

Love it!!
I do love this digital cooking thermometer. When it arrived I was excited to use it right away, but it didn't come with batteries and that is why I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5. The batteries are very cheap, but I had to wait for them to come in. I love that it has a cover for the needle. I have 5 kids and I always worry they will hurt themselves on things like this. The cover also has a clip on it so I am able to hook it to my s*** while I am outside at the grill and that way I don't forget about it and leave it outside. I mainly use it for the grill, but I did use it one other time while cooking food in the oven. I like that it is extremely fast at telling you the temperature. Lets face it the faster the better because if I had to stand there much longer waiting I would of burnt my hand off. It is extremely easy to clean as well. I like that I can turn it off and on. Others I would have to wait for it to turn off on its own, which would waste battery life. I do not know the battery life yet, I have only had it a short period of time. This is defiantly our go to when cooking on the grill.
