Guys, Light, and Nature (Portfolio1000)

There are some very good photos, but it looks like a project this guy did for a photography class. For the amount of money I paid, I expected that there would be more than 12 photographs of nude guys, amidst like 20 city shots of buildings and other various landscapes, with no nude guys in them. Obviously he knows how to take good photos but for 30 bucks, I expect at least 40-50 really good shots. The binding of this book is very strange, and the intro that the author wrote is pretty immature-sounding. He says, "Capturing beauty is my way to satisfy an urge to learn about the world. Beauty transcends humanity's existence, and it is past, present, and future all together." He also goes on to say, "I work with gay men because I feel a need to rediscover and re-describe the way in which society portrays us." I don't think this work rediscovers or redescribes the way society portrays gay men (then again, how *do* they portray us, anyway? It's impossible to define. I think this photographer has potential. I do hope I see more of his work. But this book, I do not recommend. It's too short and (pardon the cliche) completely lacks focus.

Do not waste your time or dollars on this book

Beautiful book with gorgeous pictures of Guys, Lights and Nature.

Compré este libro durante una promoción con la cual me salió prácticamente regalado, pues si bien me gusta mucho la estética y colores que usa este fotógrafo, me la pensaba por las reseñas negativas. Pero creo que por un buen precio vale la pena, ya que aunque no contiene bastantes imágenes, si son considerables y son buenas.

o conteúdo pouco relevante natureza&naturismo. Poderia ser melhor explorado como arte. Sei que para ambos, tem-se muito a ser explorado. Encadernação estranha e conteúdo pobre.

el material no me gustó y la foto de la portada yo creo que es la única que vale la pena .

beautiful book with gorgeous pictures of nature, guys and light. i really like the portfolio series. a lot of really good artists.

l'ouvrage photographique est de mauvaise qualité de présentation à la limite d'un magazine hors série sur des photographies de nus.Couverture indigne dans sa qualité de matière d'un ouvrage photosj'ai eu des livres tellement plus beaux.
