Triple Scale Hydrometer and Test Jar Combo

Not as i expected, as the name says triple scale but the actual one that came has only one scale of specific gravity , brix and potential alcohol scale is missing , and the brand is a local brand not which is in the description .looks bulky

The measuring tube had a little crack but no leakage hence doing its job..4 star for delivery but packaging can improve so that it can take the wear and tear of shipment.

Cylinder is way too large compared to the hydrometer. Need alot of liquid to do a test.

Good hydrometer! calibrated well, I tested it at the temperature states on the instructions with water and seems fine. The plastic tube seems a little cheaply made but there's no leaks. I see some people complaining that the tube breaks when they tried to take it apart, as far as I can see there not thread on it! so if you force it will break...just like anything else made out of this kind of plastic. For those of you concerned about taking it apart and cleaning it to avoid contamination, I'd say take your wort, read the hydrometer and DON"T dump it back into the fermenter, it's only like a cup of wort anyway. For the price, it's well worth it!

I purchased this hydrometer because 1 the fluid reservoir was plastic, 2 volume calibration etched on the tube and 3 the float had a color coded stem. When I discovered the base of the reservoir was removable I felt that it would be easy to clean but when the reservoir is filled with test fluid it leaks like a sieve, regardless of re-seating the base or how tight I make it, so I have to use a pan or a bowl to avoid a mess, which is awkward. I would not buy this again.

Ill give this 2 stars for right now. I was not pleased with my product arriving broken. It must've been thrown around pretty badly considering all of the protective packaging. Definitely disappointed. Wanted to use this to test some wine I'm making. I'm trying to get it done before Christmas, so this will definitely run me shorter on time. I'll change the rating after I get my new hydrometer.

Only used twice so far, but working well. The test jar is in 2 pieces, which makes it easier to store once the bottom is unscrewed. Hopefully it won't become leaky down the road, but only time will tell. The hydrometer was spot on in distilled water and is easy to read. I would recommend this product.
