Kodobo Shell Combo Case with Cliklock Belt Clip Holster for Nexus 6P - Black

I'm a female IT professional and my phone is a tool I can't be without - this case is exactly what I needed to keep it handy, but unobtrusive. Perfect fit, greatly improved grip that makes the oversized phablet much more secure in my hand. Button controls are readily accessible. The fingerprint reader opening is thoughtfully designed with a tapered edge that still allows a natural movement to unlock the phone. Unlike similar cases I've had for Samsung phones, this one allows adequate space to connect USB charging and audio cables without rubbing or catching the adapter housings. The holster grips the phone securely but the phone can be removed one-handed. I haven't noticed any diminution of signal or audibility of ringtones and notifications. Camera operation is unimpaired. The clip is firmly sprung, has sufficient depth, and is not easily dislodged from the edge of a pocket or belt. The pop-up stand is easy to operate and seems stable in use. Nexus 6p is the best Android phone to date, and this is the best functional case for it.It's not exactly a complaint, but I'd buy more of these cases if they came in additional colors. How about a fashionable red, blue or chocolate brown?

This review is written 1 month after using the product. I'm glad I waited 1 month, because the initial impression was great. I probably would have given the product a 4 star review if I had written this within 1 week of using it. But now I've gotten to learn its faults.The good:+The best feature is that the holster holds it firmly, yet it's easy to slide out. I've had other cases that were very difficult to remove the phone from the holster. Fortunately this product does not have that problem. As an additional bonus, the textured shell is soft and nice to the touch.+The clip has a very strong grip. I often don't have to loop the clip through the belt even, because the clip's bite is good enough to hold onto the pant waist and stay fixed all day.The mediocre:~The holster's top and bottom lip are very similar in width. The bottom, which is supposed to act as a stopper for the phone when holstered, is only a few millimeters thicker than the top. Because the bottom lip is small, it can allow the phone to be accidentally forced through the bottom without too much effort. I've unintentionally done this a few times when I was trying to pull out my phone without realizing it was upside down. I doubt the phone will ever slip out through the bottom during normal use, but it may damage the holster if this is done repeatedly.~The clicklocking mechanism is pretty difficult to rotate. This can be either good or bad depending on your personal preference, but it was more of a hindrance for me.~The holster has a bizarre kickstand that serves no purpose. The clip can be held in the open position with a metal bar to act as a kickstand, but the phone is only insertable facing in, not out. Given that the Nexus 6P has front-facing speakers, I can't think of any way this can be used.The bad:-First major design problem: neither the charger nor the 3.5mm audio jack can be inserted when the phone is in the holster. They can be connected fine with just the shell, it's only the holster that blocks it. The charger isn't a big deal, but the audio jack is more of an issue because it prevents people from using headphones with the phone while holstered.-The second major design problem: the kickstand is both hard to remove and unstable. At first I didn't mind it. Sure it fell over often because it was too short, and yes it was a little tough to open, but I thought I would get used to it. Rather, the opposite happened and it's grown to be one of the most frustrating aspects of the phone. I tried taping a small plastic rectangle (cut out from an old credit card) to the kickstand base to make it more stable. It helped a little, but I couldn't get the piece to stay.I am going to replace this holster for another one.

Very impressed with the case and how it functions. Great protection for the screen as well as the 6P Aluminium case. Holds the phone very secure and it slides out very easy once you get used to it. The outside volume control and screen buttons are open so your are not fussing to make the volume control work. Sits well in the Charged even with both cases on. THAT WAS A SUPRISE AND NICE ADDED FEATURE. I use the belt clip and it sits well while in the car with a seat belt on. You have to remember to make adjustments for the position if you are in a tight bucket seat, but it works well even for a big guy like me. The imprint is slightly larger than my Nexus 4 was but still feels very comfortable to use. The 6p is a large phone and it almost makes the kickstand impossible to use without the phone falling backwards. If the bottom of the stand was slightly larger it would work. Other than that I really like the case and the material. PROVIDES A BETTER GRIP on the phone. Thanks for a very nice product. I will be sure to check out the rest of the product line.
