Sturdy box
These boxes are pretty sturdy. However, you need to use shallow type of speaker so that you do not run out of space from the tapered design. Forget a small subwoofer. Midrange only.

The boxes are bigger than I expected....
I love the sound quality that these boxes produce with my ds 18 6.5" midrange woofers...the vocals are clearer than they were in the other enclosures i had them in.and u can hear the electric guitar with great clarity when listening to godsmack, tool, disturbed, and whatever loud rock I listen to....the boxes made a huge difference in the overall sound quality in my old 74 chevy c10 single cab truck....they are a bit bigger than I expected and they don't fit in the corner cubby behind the seat. So the boxes kinda stick out a few inches and the seats barely clear the boxes when put all the way back, but even though the seats block the line of sight, they still can be heard very clearly....so I don't really care how much space the boxes take up....they are worth it!! Its a good balance with my 1500 watt sub amp and sub in a sealed box. Also I have 2 ds 18 6.5"mid woofers in the doors paired with 2 two inch tweeters ....all 6 speakers are powered by a 60 ×4 watt compact stepsom amp...Boxes are definetly a good buy!!! If u have room...run 'em...u won't be dis-apointed

Well made little boxes. Impressed.
I have a BMW z3 which is tight on space and places to mount speakers.... these fit on the back deck and still allow the convertible top to be lowered without fear of damage.

Hole is not correct size for 6.5" speaker.
Built well. However, these are not for a 6.5" speaker. The hole is too big. Generally a 6.5" speaker will have a total outside diameter measured at the frame of 6.5" and a mounting screw diameter of around 5.5".. the holes in these boxes is closer to 6". So the screws won't thread into anything. Returning. If they'd get it right... they'd have a winner.

I'd you install 6" subs you will have to do some redesign, I drilled a 2⅛hole in both box's on the right and left side and put a piece of 2" pvc 4" long, and let me tell you it's like having 10" in my truck. 4.5 stars
