I am impressed by the quality of this mat, as well as the performance.The primary advantage this advertises over others is the ability for the board to "heal" scar marks. I have used many products that have claimed this, but other than end grain maple hardwood, I have not used any product that has actually done it, until now.While this board does not heal as well as end grain maple, it does a surprisingly good job. By doing this, the service life of the mat is extended (as scar markings eventually ruin a mat/board and make clean cuts no longer possible). So in the long run, this mat could save you money with a longer service life over other products.The overall build quality is excellent, and I clean the mat using a disinfectant (accelerated hydrogen peroxide) in which it has held up very well to being cleaned with.Another plus of this mat over others I have used is that it is very easy going on knife, razor, and utility blades. It slows the speed in which they dull at, which is convenient if you use this kind of product a lot.The only downside I see is the price. It's not cheap, but it is a well-made product that holds up to usage, has border lines on it which are super useful for many different applications, is easy-going on cutting tools, and lasts a long time. So to me it is worth the price.

This is an ace cutting mat for your fabricky, arty projects. It's reversible, with green and black sides; personally, I often feel the pull of the dark side, but I can totally use the Craft Force to do what I need on the green one also.It performed as claimed, which is really the most important bit.I'm super chuffed about the great value on this one, too; I definitely recommend it for those who are looking for a solid portable mat that won't let you down gently - or at all. 😃 Thanks, Alvin and the School Supplies!

The firmness of this mat is way more impressive than the generic cutting mats I have. As a result it works way better if your cutting designs or need precision in your cuts.

For $5.97 as an add on item to a large order this smallish mat is worth the price. I keep it within arms reach of my desk for cutting and some times measurements. The angles are such that you can strike a 45 degree easily and the other angles are also sometimes useful. To those of you who haven't discovered these cut forgiving mats, I would say, buy several as they are worth it just for the surface which is great to work on, as opposed to the top of a desk or table top. This size is good for measuring cards and items you need to scale to a measure. Don't underestimate these mats worth to you. Get the size you think you need and then buy a couple more up and down from that. I like them and use them regularly.

On the smaller side, which I like, and is indeed self healing, which I love. My craft area is also my desktop desk, and it makes a perfect mousepad between crafting sessions. It's also about the same size as one.The day I got it I made several extremely deep xacto cuts; enough that they were visible in the mat from across the room; and they're healed up a couple of days later with absolutely no special attention whatsoever.Great product. Great mousepad. Would absolutely buy again, or in a different size, if I needed more than the one I have.

This mat is just what I needed and does all it promises to do. I doubted the self-healing part but it really does not show any cuts after using it for over 6 months. I don't use it every day and I use a Tonic Studios 806 Mini Rotary Perforator as my cutting tool so other uses and durations may tax it more. But for my use it works great. I make card-stock hang tags for my handmade products I sell at craft fairs and perforate one part of the tag to use as an inventory management tool. The little perforator works great with this mat. The lines printed on the mat help me keep the cutting edge straight and it has a great feel to cut against. The price is outstanding for what it does for me. I'm a very happy camper.
