Well, I took a chance on these based on the reviews, as I weighed the options and opinions on messiness. I'm glad I bought them. I had done some short runs but knew with my first half marathon coming up, I had to take my nutrition while running, more serious. I started using these on a 10k (which turned into a 12k) and they're tasty. And not too sweet. I'd say this...yes, they get messy if you put an empty pouch into your pocket. Lol...don't do that unless it's 100% empty. While using these and some other gels, I found these just as good as more expensive gels and better tasting than most. Overall, with a 10k and half marathon under my belt with these, I'd definitely use them again. While I would recommend a bit of water while taking on a course, it's not 100% needed. And I saw other runners using these on the half marathon too. Good value, taste and gets you some nutrition.

Tastes Like Cough Syrup
This was my first time trying a gel during a long run. The gel is thicker than I thought it would be (definitely the consistency of honey). The flavor is more of a cherry flavor, at least to me, which gives me the feeling of cough syrup (especially with the thicker consistency). It's not so bad that I can't take it, but I'll definitely try a different flavor next time.

7 mile run - APPROVED!
7 mile long run - and this helped push me to 7.20 miles EASY!- currently training for a marathon.- had my normal dinner the night before; and breakfast the morning of my 7 mi. Run.Usually I’m WHOOPED by 5 miles because I wasn’t fueling ( couldn’t find a good source).Tried 1 pack of Honey Stinger on my run and it pushed me beyond my goal - E.A.S.YGel pack + water will help you so much!I took my time consuming the pack.- Small portions while maintaining a steady breathing pattern - until I finished the pack.Sipped water shortly after and finished EASY!Had so much energy I meditated for 20 minutes, showered, mopped the floor, massage gunned my legs, and THEN had breakfast!Awesome run shall I say!
