two lights per port and works great without a phone app
When being able to take full advantage of my internet service required a router that exceeded 100 Mbps, all I really wanted was eight ports with two lights each and the ability to configure without a phone app (yuck). I didn't even care about WiFi (though my family does). I was surprised at how challenging it is to find something that meets this simple criteria, particularly in a name brand for a modest price. Amazon and Linksys don't help with this search by mainly showing pictures of families on their phones instead of actual pictures of the router. I let my standards slide a bit to have only four ports and include WiFi, but at least this one is rectangular with only three antennas instead of posing as an alien predator or its transport with eight! I was relieved to be able to log in the old fashioned way using a full sized keyboard, monitor, and browser instead of being forced to finger swipe through a tiny screen. The two lights per port help when making connections and testing. I had to reboot my Spectrum modem before the Linksys would communicate with it, but since then it has worked continuously. I am told the WiFi is much improved over the 15 year old 100 Mbps router it replaced. To get the eight ports I wanted, I paired the Linksys with a refreshingly simple Netgear GS308E, which is even more rectangular and also has two lights per port. The one I received was made in Vietnam.

IT WORKS WELL......
IT WORKS GOOD, EASY SETUP, AND ITS SECURED WHEN I GO ONLINE. THAT'S ALL I WANTED TO HAPPEN BC, WHEN I HAD THE WAVELINK IT WAS NOT SECURED FOR ME TO BROWSE ONLINE AND THEREFORE I WAS NOT SATISFIED WITH THE WAVELINK; BUT, WITH THE LINKSYS EA-7500 IT WORKS GREAT IT'S NOT AS BUDGET FRIENDLY AS THE WAVELINK BUT, IT'S WORTH THE MOOLA.IT'S LITE WEIGHT, USER FRIENDLY, PLUS IT'S SECURED ON MY COMPUTER I LOVE IT. A KEEPER FOR SURE.

Much better than the one I had before
This works much better than the eero that my cable company provided me with. My old one would constantly drop signal, this Linksys provides a strong and steady signal. The signal seems to go a bit further if I angle the little antenna out to the side. The set-up was pretty easy as well. It can handle a lot of devices at a time, on busy days it's common to have my phone, my laptop, multiple tablet style devices, a tv, and security cameras all going at once and this router can handle them all. If it starts acting a little laggy I can switch a couple devices over to the 5GHz, I'm honestly not sure if that actually does anything to help but my brain pretends it does.

finally a router that just works
I initially had purchased NETGEAR Nighthawk Smart WiFi Router (R6900P) - AC1900. I got to admit the misleading/fake number of amazon reviews and star average rating - paired with its cool spaceship like design made me opt for Netgear's product first.... But, after spending multiple unfruitful hours with tech support because or poor quality issues and frequent disconnects I decided to return it and purchased Linksys Dual-Band WiFi Router for Home (Max-Stream AC1900 MU-Mimo Fast Wireless Router).Speed test are perfect as I'm able to utilize my full 300/300Mps bandwidth at full speed OVER WIFI - no need for ethernet cables to reach that full speed ( i have Verizon Fios). With Netgears Nighthawk i had to plug in the ethernet cable to reach those speeds as something in that lousy devise was limiting the bandwidth over wifi.

Linksys R75 AC1900
Linksys products are great. This Linksys R75 AC1900 is replacing my old AC 1750. I had a combo whammy>laptop Wi-Fi was going bad along with the router. Old router would get hot and slow down/ get hitchy. I encountered the bad Wi-Fi when it would not find the router; I used an old Wi-Fi adapter and was able to connect. I trust Linksys and other name brands. Streaming video is the only stressor for the Wi-Fi; it runs fine. I ordered a better Wi-Fi adapter for the laptop, cheaper than buying a new laptop. Linksys online interface works great and support is great. Robust systems. Two weeks no problems; Strong signal, broadcast stays indoors, unlike neighbors who broadcast 1/2 block down the street.

Excellent product
Purchased this product several months ago and it was easy to set up. The one question I had to ask tech support was answered quickly and correctly, and I have had excellent Wi-Fi throughout my house ever since. Great product and support.

Worked fine for about 9 months and then problems started
Easy to set-up. Ran fine for about 9 months. Then, the problems started. It recognized some of my devices but, it constantly wouldn't allow some devices to connect. Always showed a "incorrect password" on my portable devices. Entered correct passwords over and over but... still wouldn't work. Called Tech Support. Nice lady tried to help me and we finally had to remove my passwords and then re-enter passwords. Worked fine for about two days and then... the dreaded "incorrect password" started again. Bought a new mesh wifi system and now..... success. No more Linksys routers for me. Sorry Linksys Co.

Great replacement for an old Apple Airport extreme!
I've had my airport extreme for years but wanted to tap in to the high speed internet that I get on my Mac. This Router is extremely fast, and easy to set up. I'm now getting download speeds of 234 MPS on my devices , very close to what I get on my Mac ! The coverage is great too. My ranch style house is 1500 square feet and I get full signals even outside with my Arlo Camera's. Highly recommend!

Needed rebooting twice in one month
Needed rebooting twice in one month of usage. This can be a problem if you are away for an extended period of time and your security cameras depend on your wifi. I purchased the Linksys to replace an Dynex wifi that is over 10 years old figuring that it may give up the ghost anytime soon. Also Consumer Report rated Linksys as a wifi with longest range. Range is no better than the decade old Dynex and so far is less stable. There should be a functionality that would allow automatic periodic reboot during the night. Thinking of purchasing a timer to force a weekly reboot. Otherwise it works fine and installation was fairly straight forward.
