Great lock
I was going to buy a emtek brand then came across this when the vendor came to my job. Bought this here at a better price and quality than emtek

Bluetooth and Z Wave great combination.
Z wave connects fast and easy. Don't use Bluetooth much but works every time.

Nicely made keypad deadbolt, but missing strong Z-Wave support
I've owned a number of touchscreen deadbolts, and for the most part this one is great. Fast response to the keys (though the locking from the outside is still a fairly slow 3 second process), and I like the hidden USB port for battery failure.Unfortunately, this only has minimal Z-Wave support, so it is only capable of connecting to my alarm system from the perspective of: locking/unlocking from the alarm system app, arming/disarming the alarm system from the lock. That's great, but it does *not* use the pin codes from the alarm system as would a Yale ZWave lock, which means I need to update all my pin codes in two places, which is unfortunate and a management headache. Also, the bluetooth automatic unlock seems to work rarely, fortunately it fails in the "not unlocking" sense as opposed to the "unlocking when you don't want" sense. I had it only work a couple of times, but, even though my phone bluetooth is on, it doesn't seem to notice me coming home as much anymore and I need to resort to the keypad codes.

Looks over function
Purchased this for a new home I recently moved into but no one liked it. It looked great but no one liked the keypad. Also it wasn't always able to relock the door due to a 'non-perfect' alignment. I ended up replacing it with a Schlage Connect Smart Deadbolt, it's easier for everyone to use and always relocks.

Pretty good smart lock for the price
Mostly using this as a smart door lock to automatically lock every night in case I forget, and the ability to check to make sure it's locked when I've already left the house. There was some difficulty pairing with SmartThings, but just didn't describe the process very well in the instructions. The only dislike I have is the fact that if the deadbolt doesn't fully lock (gets stuck sliding into the door jamb), it still shows as locked; I have to make sure my door is fully closed so the deadbolt lines up because the reporting isn't perfect. The noise level is fairly quiet. The TouchPad is a little insensitive (need to really push the buttons hard sometimes)

Works as it Should, and easily.
Absolutely love the lock. Easy to install. Looks sleek on my door. Works as intended. The third grommet can be unscrewed to attach to the door with only the main attachment (you do NOT have to drill another hole, but you can if you want it super attached). Codes and usage work. Bluetooth entry works. *did get the internet bridge for $50 for more connectivity. That was also easy to setup. The app is intuitive and easy to set up. Absolutely no issues so far. Again, very happy with it.

Work in Process
Overall the Alfred lock is a work in progress. I wouldn’t recommend the lock to most people. If Z-wave S2 security is important to you, than this lock is good value for now. The overall build quality is good, although the inside housing is plastic. The screen is easy to read with very good touch sensitivity.Installation instructions are clear, but the engineering design is poor. Note, the PR picture supplied on Amazon is misleading as it shows no hole above the latch hole. This is not the case, as you are required to drill an additional ⅜” hole approx 4” above the latch hole. If you ever want to replace this lock, this hole could be exposed and need repair. The competing units from Yale and Schlage to not require the additional hole. Now my $2000 front door has a new hole in it!There is a tiny switch on the motherboard to determine the latching direction, very easy to set in the wrong direction requiring you to disassemble and reset the lock. The screws holding the plastic case are tiny and the screw located under the unit is difficult to insert as the door knob interferes with this location. The rubber gasket on the outside display is little to flimsy, the Yale lock has a thicker gasket. The phone app appears to work well with bluetooth. But be aware, the feature to unlock the door with one touch is beta. Check if your phone will support this feature. I haven’t checked my phone’s ( pixel 3 ) battery drain when this feature is enabled.Hubitat hub does not support this model and future support is not optimistic.Check carefully with your hub’s community for any support issues before buying.Time will tell if Alfred has the resources to support long term.I’m hoping Alfred does well against the big brands, but more work is needed and quickly.Update: 4/23/20 Good news: The Alfred DB1 now has a working device driver for the Hubitat hub. I have tested it. The Alfred held up well through the winter weather with no touchpad issues. Added one star.Update 9/25/20 They updated the installation manual explaining how to install without the requirement for the additional hole. Would have been nice to know back when I installed it. Great support on the new Hubitat C7 hub with S2 security working. ...worth another star.

Absolute garbage! Caveat Emptor!!
The Alfred door lock I received was for my daughter's house, and was to be her birthday present. Upon opening the item, the screen was scratched and the lock would not operate. When she opened it this weekend and got it installed by a carpenter, she was dismayed to find a used item that didn't work, and was no longer able to be returned as one week past the 30 days!!!Now she has to manually lock the deadbolt and access her house thru the back door with a key!Thought Alfred would back their product, and this item should be able to be returned!Rocky

Works well with Alarm.Com services if you have the Z-Wave version.
I have the Z-Wave version. I have a metal door with a standard lock. I did have to enlarge the hole, which was a bit of a challenge. Once Installed, I used the Alfred app to do the initial setup. The software is okay however, it's not very "user friendly". I added the lock to my monitored alarm service. From there, I was able to set individual codes for each family member. I have a pseudo-love/hate relationship with the auto door lock. It's so convenient as a setup & forget. But when going in and out of the entrance, it can be a bit of a pain. Out of my two door locks the Weiser and the Alfred, the Alfred easily became one of my favourite locks. Zwaive pairing can be challenging if you're not used to pairing devices. But I would recommend this to a family member.

Not Bad
The scratches make me think it might have been used. I'll install it tomorrow and update the reviewUpdated:The scratches are not visible after mounting. I have to say I'm imprressed easy setup except for increasing the hole diameter. Z-wave paired with my Ring Alarm and gave access to Alexa everything works I don't need the wifi bridge so I saved money there. I really like it and for 100 dollars its great. Only 4 stars because of the scratchesUpdated:There was a very fine protective cover on the display hard to see. This means there are really no scratches five starsUpdate:I bought 2 more and installed them with out a problem
