Not worth the time it takes to unbox it.
game functionality:Only usable for D-pad games. The Analog sticks are not Analog, they are possibly a 3 tier digital setup. so for any game that you need the precision of the analog stick you will find this control to be jittery, over reactive and unpredictable. Many titles that rely on this will be unplayable. On the other hand, titles that you play using the d-pad are quite compatible with this controller. The buttons work well although there is a slight response delay. But so slight that for most players it's not really noticeable. The delay is also consistent so for the more advanced players you can simply alter your timing and play almost as well as you would with a better controller. There are occasional auto button fires. I was not able to figure out what was causing this and the frequency is pretty low, but from time to time it would send an extra jump or hit button press that you are not even touching.Physical problems:The receiver is molded in reverse from what it was supposed to be so if you have a slim ps2 it will jack the unit up because it extends lower then the bottom feet on the PS2. So you either have to be ok with this or extend it of the front edge of whatever you have you PS2 resting on.The battery door is problematic. Just a bad mold design causing the door to interfere with the shape of the controller making it impossible to open the latching door in a normal manner. It takes some fiddling with to get open and again to secure back. The battery door also does not sit flush when in place, leaving a couple sharp edges protruding up for you game fingers to get distracted by. Another molding screw up I guess. The over all plastic is not bad. It is notably inferior to the typical OEM controllers in build sturdiness and quality but it's not bad. After playing with this controller for a while it's good enough to start to get used to. So in that regard it's passable. But when you set it back down and pick up an OEM you'll probably find yourself not wanting to pick it back up again, it's just missing that punchy feel to the buttons and solid construction of an OEM controller.Overall:I would say that if you want a button banging controller to let you kids abuse this might be a good item to purchase. But for anyone that want's to get in the game and not be thinking about the controller causing issues, this just isn't worth the time it takes to unbox it.I chose to let amazon pay for shipping back to get a full refund. This item really shouldn't be sold as a fully compatible controller. It's just got way too many issues, most of which are completely fixable pre-production if they had just taken the time.

It goes idle pretty quickly too
When it sits idle for too long it blinks and I have to unplug it to reset it. If I understand correctly its supposed to wake up when you touch the buttons, but it doesn't. It goes idle pretty quickly too.

Started malfunctioning after 2 weeks
It worked for all of 2 weeks and then it stopped. Either the light wouldn't come on at all or it would just flash. Tried new batteries and everything. Unplugges the receiver and plugged it back in, and that got the controller to work again temporarily. Returning this now. This is too much effort to get something brand new to work.

One Star
Stops working in the middle of a game. You have to turn off every thing and restart from scratch.

You get what you pay for, I guess.
I opened the package, inserted two new batteries (it doesn't come with them, FYI), turned on the game, and managed to get in a whole four minutes of gameplay before the thing started disconnecting itself from the console. I fiddled with it, turning it off and on, trying to get it to reconnect with no luck (in the meantime my character was squashed flat by ice-dragon boulders, so thanks for that). Took out the brand new batteries and tried a new pair, thinking maybe it had drained them THAT fast. Now the thing won't turn on or connect at all. It's dead, Jim!Time to send it packing to the junkyard whence it came. And my quest for a decent wireless controller for a rather old Playstation 2 continues...
