Such an improvement in speed Vs my b535 232. Basically the aggregation is so much better it's doubled (and more) the download speed (max I've had is about 290mbs) . This was a used like new item. Does have a slight nick in the plastic on top of the router. But performance is unaffected. I had to fully reset before use as default password wouldn't work. Not had to use the tech support so far. I did had to set up a new apn on ipv4 for EE as the default wouldn't work for all my devices (easy and just search the web for this if it's a problem for you!).

Arrived with a European power adaptor, not a UK one.In my Central London location, with a GiffGaff SIM, I'm getting 45 to 90 Mbps download. Works perfectly to provide broadband to a small rented office, without the hassle of getting a landline installed.Price and availability of this Huawei B818 seems to fluctuate. Keep your eyes open for when stock is good with other suppliers and price is keen.Uses 192.168.8.1 as the router configuration address. Set up via web interface is roughly similar to an Android phone. You may have to enter the APN details manually, depending which network you're on.

This is the second different HUAWEI I’ve had to return through software not recognising the unit and showing the wrong unit number and couldn’t get this one to work from the box so returned it as faulty, still waiting on credit 🥺

I can confirm that I have received the B818-263 not the B818-260 version.I have tried a couple of different routers from TP-link connected to an external directional antenna and the download is far stronger with this router.The only challenges I have seen so far are regarding the configuration options as more limited thatWith other routers and while connecting it to an external antenna increases the signal strength that is not translated into higher internet speed. I have to investigate why but in any case the internal antennas are more than sufficient for this router.

Works well, leaves the FTTC broadband for dead, throughput is comparable to what a current gen mobile phone gets inside the premises- I get about 105/25 mbit on three / smarty sim

Easy to set up with app on your phone

I asked the seller prior to purchase what kind of plug the device had and I was told it had a UK plug. The device arrived today and it has an EU plug.
