The shorts are a great material however they are definitely Bermuda shorts so they go down to my knee and they have a stretchy waist which makes it even bigger. To air on the side of them fitting properly, I would definitely not be worried about ordering your actual size because I feel like they would have fit perfectly if I had. I thought by ordering from China that size would be a little bit off, so I ordered a little bit bigger so they don’t fit properly. The material makes it so you can dress up with them or dress down with them.

And should you have questions, I will respond to the best of my ability.The shorts, of which I have purchased 4, are a great summer find. Especially if you are a trapped snowbird, in Florida. Where your wings melt in high heat and humidity.The 55/45% cotton linen, are very comfortable and lightweight. Despite the lack of a fly, the pants are well made, fitting, and a great value. The material details look smart in person, and the cuff adds an "up market " touch. The elastic waist is double stitched, with a nice cord, and 4 painted wooden beads. There are 2 inward slanted pockets, and 1 behind. Slanted pockets always look nice. Especially on shorts, as you eliminate the look of ears around your waist.I would avoid going commando, especially in the whites, as I am able to detect enough of my hand to avoid an embarrassing situation.The waist size is true, and elastic is well made. I am glad to see the double stitching in the waist, as Chinese factories are a gamble with inexpensive products.I really like these shorts. In this case, the product in person exceeds the picture. I have a waist of approximately 33", and purchased medium. At 6'4, the cuffs rest just above knee. Very smart looking!UPDATE FOR MARCH '21!I have worn all the colors and styles and washed them in ONLY COLD WATER. I also NEVER DRY, as hanging works fine. A quick iron is all you need. Have not tried my steamer. The pants look and fit just great. With all the snow and ice storms around the country you probably know I live in Florida. Here we have the a/c on. Good grief! Looks like another year I made the mistake of pulling out the beautiful sweaters and coats I have yet to wear; and I purchased them in Europe 2 years ago for a big splurge. Well, they look so handsome on the hangers, through the garment bags. But the shorts are holding up very well. Great for around the house , shopping , or casual lunch. I also really like them for golfing! They move with you perfectly, and never pinch or restrict motion in anyway.I just wanted to check in as I really appreciate reviews that have follow ups after the products have been broken in. Most items appear fine when taken out of the box, but most reviewers don't come back to update after the tires have been kicked, and driven a few thousand miles. So, still a 5☆ product, with a cold wash and no dryer. The size, color, and fit are like new. Great choice!

I ordered these because I was looking for some casual wear that still looked trendy. The fit was as expected - I wear a woman’s size 10-12 and ordered these in Medium, and the fit is comfortable. Not too baggy, but not tight anywhere. Good length - below the knee for me (I’m 5’4”) so would work well for a taller person as well. The material feels nice and crisp. The color is a bit lighter than pictured, but still a nice rich wine color.

These linen shorts are true to size. They kept their deep color when washed. They are linen which means they will wrinkle, but it is easily fixed with some light ironing. Perfect shorts for hot summer days because they are airy. The drawstring is nice and adds to the beachy fashion. It is great that these have three pockets. They are very stylish and the comfort is great.

Had to return the first couple of pairs we purchased bc of size but that was our fault for thinking they would run small. Purchase your size and they fit great!!! My hubby purchased 3 pairs for our cruise and loved every pair. They have now all been washed and hung dry and are still great quality so we will be purchasing for our upcoming cruise for our boys next year!

Great casual shorts. I bought about 8 or 9 in different colors. So far they've washed and worn very well. Be careful with the dark blue ones though . . . they'll bleed for the first few washings. I suggest washing them several times with soap and warm water (and rinsing with cool) in the sink before you machine wash. And then, the first couple of times you machine wash, add white vinegar to help lock in the dye. The navy blue and wine red were the only ones I had to do this with, but it's true with most dark cotton (or in this case, cotton/linen) fabrics.

Decent - but probably would not order another. The material was thinner than I expected. Linen? I don't think so, but what do I know. The hem is either poorly sewn or the material is just to thin to stand up to the hem fold. Putting more than two stitches to secure the hem would be an easy fix. Considering they have a drawstring, there's really no reason for a visible hem. Since the button came off the first time I tried to push it through the buttonhole, that made the decision to the return them very easy. It's hard to find this type of short, especially at this time of year (end of summer). I might even return them and get a smaller size and hopefully the hem will stay up. If not, I'll have to get someone to stitch all around the hems, instead of trying to get by with those two stitches 180 degrees apart on each pant leg.D
