These little covers work perfectly inside my wide mouth mason jars to keep my sauerkraut, pickled beets and beans below the brine. I thought for sure at least the shredded cabbage would float above it but nope not the case at all.

These are my first fermentation weights. After doing some researching & reading, I settled on these mostly because of the knob.It seems that a common problem is being able to grip the weight when pulling it out of the jar because it is wet.These knobs have a slight taper, as you can see in the pictures, which allowed a decent grip.They are heavy for their size. They fit easily inside of a wide mouth jar.One thing I’ll note that I was very happy with was the packaging! They came in a box with foam cut outs to snugly fit around each weight. I’ll be keeping this to store them in when I’m not using them!

These are perfect for all my homemade ferments. I gave owned other weights I the past that were hard to get out because the handle had no ridge but these do have a ridge and pop right out. Now I'm just waiting on some pickled carrots and sauerkraut! :) Yum!

Worked well with wide mouth Ball 32oz jars. Easy to pull out. I let the knob handle press the lid to get a good pressure. Used original lid and hand tightened. No need for special lids that release pressure. The original lid got a bit rusty after 35 days. I dropped one on outdoor carpet from a few feet and no damage. I used a ramicken which did a ok job but these are worth it.

These are of good weight and are well made. The little built in handle on the top makes it easy to press down in to the jar and lift it out

I purchased these glass weights primarily to use when making sauerkraut. They arrived in a sturdy box nicely packaged with each weight in its own styrofoam molded space. I actually store them in this same box. The weights themselves are a solid piece of glass with a top knob that is easy to grasp. They fit perfectly into wide mouth Mason jars. They wash easily in the dishwasher. I also used them when making pickled red onions. In addition to using them in the kitchen, they make effective weights to use when cutting out sewing projects. I love it when I can find multiple uses for tools that are both utilitarian and beautifully made.
