Awesome camera!
I didn't want to order a bundled system. I wanted to be able to choose how many of what type of camera I wanted on my system. So I ordered the HVIEW 4K NVR and ordered two different types of cameras that are designed for this NVR. I ordered one bullet style and one dome style. I hooked them both up and the picture quality is identical. The images they produce in 4k are absolutely stunning. Keep in mind this system is replacing a 1080p wired system. But that system on my 4K TV looked extremely good. But these cameras look even better and I mean a lot better. Both cameras look the same on night vision. They both produce very good night vision viewing. Much better than my 1080p system. This bullet style camera does edge out the dome style for me though. The reason I am going to go with seven of the bullets and just one dome it's because the bullet cameras are easier to articulate and install. you don't cameras are just harder to swivel around and move to get to the position that you want compared to the dome camera. The stone camera also is more visible by potential Intruders and that is half the reason that I have a camera system. I want potential Intruders to see my camera system to act as a deterrent so they'll go look for softer targets. I'm extremely happy with this camera and the HVIEW NVR system. Plus this system uses a different app versus my other one which use the Danale app which is not very good. I definitely would grade this camera and system a 10 out of 10.

Good value for this level of performance
We've had several other relatively inexpensive cameras at the location where this one was installed. None of them were as clear as this one and none ever showed stars in the sky at night.

Excellent Compatibility, Picture and Manufacturer Support. I Tested It.
The H.View 8MP Bullet Camera was a pleasure to install and provided beautiful video. THe H.View installed onto my ONVIF Network Video Recorder (NVR) and its ease of installation was exactly what should be expected of a well-engineered camera. I have installed and used about 30 different ONVIF cameras on my system and the H.View is at the top of the list for performance and support. Read on for my testing and impressions.Test Conditions: I used a Yeskamo 1080p NVR that is ONVIF compatible. ONVIF (Open Network Video Interface Forum) is a standard for how IP products within video surveillance and other physical security areas can communicate with each other. It allows multiple manufacturers to design equipment to interoperate. The H.View was connected to a Power Over Ethernet (POE) switch using a 1 Gb/s network that connected 7 additional ONVIF operating cameras to the same NVR. The camera's video and sound were monitored from a 4K 65" OLED TV connected by HDMI to the NVR. The H.View was left at factory defaults except for the resolution which was 8MP which was changed to 1080P or 2 MP. -- GREAT EASY ONVIF INSTALLATION: The NVR immediately found the H.View on my network! The H.View default IP (192.168.1.120) was outside of my network range and I was able to reassign the IP from the NVR to a 192.168.0.120 address allowing the camera to operate within my network. A fantastic result! Every other ONVIF camera I have ever installed required the use of special software to find and reassign the IP. Also, the name assigned was H.View making it much easier to ID which camera it was. Almost every other camera I've installed has a generic "IPCAM" name. H.View did it right in this design! -- PREVIEW WORKED: The NVR provides a list of cameras installed with a small preview window that if you move the mouse cursor over you get a small video preview window. This is very handy to identify which camera you're working with. Again the H.View worked great here while most other ONVIF cameras do not do this. -- EASY AND MODERN USER INTERFACE (UI) FOR CONFIGURATION OVER IP: The H.View can be configured directly over its HTML by entering its IP address in a browser. An excellent and modern user interface (UI) is provided that provides detailed access to camera configuration for expert-level control. The UI is well organized and very intuitive to use. I attached a picture of the well designed User Interface page. NOTE: To get all the configuration features Internet Explorer must be used. I found that when using Firefox, all the configuration features were not available such as "Storage" configuration. -- EXCELLENT DAYTIME VIDEO: My system is limited to 1080P but at 1080P the camera provided an excellent picture. I have provided a Daytime view photo from the H.View. The photo was taken from a 4K 65" TV display. The H.View is an 8MP camera and 1080P is equal to 2MP so an 8MP view will be that much better. Further, the video update is fast and smooth -- GREAT NIGHTTIME INFRARED: For this view, I was careful to be sure there was no other visible light on the scene so what you see is all infrared. Comparing the same scene as was used for the daytime images the IR image has great detail. I could easily discern moths flying around. -- SOUND WORKS WELL: The sound works well and easily heard and not distorted when watching and listening to the TV connected to the NVR. -- A GREAT CUSTOMIZE DISPLAY FEATURE: I love the ability to add custom display lettering beyond just the time and name of the camera. I have attached a picture showing the feature on the configuration page. -- GREAT SUPPORT: I emailed the support at hviewsmart.com and they got back to me within 12 hours. Most importantly they provided knowledgeable information with focused diagnosis and follow-up help. (not the platitudes you get from most support contacts that you never hear back from). -- GOOD PRICE: When comparing 8M bullet camera prices, the H.View at $86 at the time of this review is a very competitive price. Even if more expensive than other 8MP cameras, I would trust the proven robust ONVIF interface and flexibility to operate with many NVR manufacturers, vs the effort to deal with other fiddly time consuming to integrate, and poorly supported camera manufacturers.CONCLUSION: The H.View 8MP is an excellent camera at a great price. 5 stars from performance to support.
