I kept seeing suggestions in laser groups to upgrade from my stock Omtech lens. I decided to give cloudray a try as it was recommended as a “budget” upgrade…well let me tell you, my cuts are so much cleaner and my efficiency is up as well. Rookie tip-don’t forget to run a ramp test to make sure your focal height is right when you install the new lens, because it was completely different from the stock lens focal length.

I have an omtech 60w, i bought this as a replacement after reading reviews about how it was a night and day difference. I put the lens in, did a ramp test, and a test card and i was disappointed. It wasn’t as good as the stock 2” lens, it was very close but not worth it for me. I ended up returning it and buying an American photonics tube lens and i was very happy with the cut quality of it.

No expert, but after I coupled this lens with the Light Object laser head it burned through 1/4 Birch in two passes at 20mm/s @15mA.Which is way better than the stock set up.

This lens immediately improved the quality of my cuts. Not sure about longevity yet, but at this print I can buy almost a dozen before reaching the OEM cost from Full Spectrum.

The lens works very good, cheap and good, i use it at least 6 hours a day, 6 days at week,

Awesome so far, Seems better than OEM and way less expensive. When needed I will purchase one for my PS48
