Safe for hedgehogs
I bought this to help my hedgehog, who has spinal arthritis. Shortly after she needed surgery, so we used it for that as well. Our vet recommended laser therapy and I’m so glad we got it. I would say it has helped, and it also gives me peace of mind knowing I can help her heal.

Good hand-held cool laser
We have used this device for several months and are glad we bought it. We use it on our own aches--ankle, knee, hips, neck, hands. Also use it for our dogs for arthritis and CCL injury. The sensor area does get hot after about ten minutes, so you won't want to just lay it on a body part. We move it where needed and when it starts to get too warm, it is time to stop treatment anyway. It it "all ohmns at once," meaning, it does not have a switch to go from surface red light benefit to the deeper tissue one, but since we probably need both anyway, that works for us.

Don’t buy it
I bought this 5 months ago. Buttons don’t work right. Battery won’t hold charge any more. Worthless. Don’t waste your money.

Not all features work
The package stated that it had a tone at the completion of the timed treatment. I only heard it once. The end tone is not functional.The package directions also stated I could adjust the power settings. The tool does not have this capability.Battery life is short. With a full charge, the battery holds up for at most five 10 minute treatments. Since I am treating three different areas, I have to charge the unit every other day.The case gets hot. After a few minutes, the case becomes quite hot at the head. You need to hold the device at the handle and hold the head a few inches from the skin.Other than these faults, the device works fine.

Actually works
Don't expect overnight, in my case I noticed a change in one day, buy your mileage may vary. As far as I'm concerned it's a great tool and a good value.

Using it on dog, seem to help, it's hard to quantify . Glad we got it. It did help my knee.
