It’s nice to have solid basses and more comfortable trebles for solos

I installed a set of Savarez 510MRP strings on my Yamaha SLG200NW Silent Guitar and immediately noticed something wasn't quite right. First, the open D string was overpowering and wanted to sustain for what seemed like an eternity. I was constantly having to mute it. Second, the timbre of the carbon G string didn't blend well with the other two nylon treble strings. Savarez sells this mixed set with the carbon G to compensate for the thuddiness that many conventional nylon G strings often produce. In my case, on the Silent Guitar, the three treble strings just didn't work as a team with a uniform sound quality. Both issues went away when I restrung with a Savarez 510AR string set, which I recommend highly.I played the guitar with these strings for about five weeks. They tuned up nicely, intonation was good, and the windings on the bass strings seemed to be holding up well. For reference, I'm retired and I usually play/practice, strictly for pleasure, for about four-hours a day, so the strings had well over 100-hours on them.With all that said, I only tried the one set so I could have had a defective set. It also could have been something related to the electronics of the Silent Guitar. This string set may sound perfectly fine on a conventional classical guitar. Savarez has been making strings for a really long time and they know what they're doing.
