Tamagotchi Friends Dream Town Digital Friend Blue Flowers

I bought this toy for myself (for nostalgic reasons). I used to play the Tamagotchi L.I.F.E. app infrequently before it was taken off the market, so I chose this toy because it retains the retro graphics and some animations (e.g. for cleaning up after your Tamagotchi) at an affordable price. This game does not have the discipline function that I remember as a child, but it does have a medicine function that I haven't seen in many of the newer Tamagotchi toys. I like the variety of mini games, one requires you to "bump" the toy with another Dream Town toy to unlock it so I never got to play it. You can play up to four mini games up until your Tamagotchi reaches a teenage stage of life, but the default is two. The pause feature is great, as is the option to change the contrast which I used right away to lighten up the background. The reason I'm giving it a mediocre score is because I installed fresh batteries on March 3rd (the day it was delivered), and the screen changed to warn me that I need to replace the batteries yesterday. I'm not willing to change the batteries anytime soon if I can only expect a month of play. I will keep the toy because the Tamagotchi brand seems to be dying out even in Japan. I made the mistake of throwing out a Tamagotchi Connection toy I had, which I regret because it was one of the final installments that still retained the watch battery and was closer to the silhouette of the classic Tamagotchi toy. This Dream Town version feels almost like a powder compact in weight/height and it takes up the whole palm of my hand.

Got these for my little brother and I to play together for Easter. Very fun, a great throwback to my old tamagotchis. The new design is bulkier than I like, but still workable. The basic principle is the same, and there are several games that I think are accessible for a variety of age groups. I do wish there were more interactivity with the bumping (it would be cool to be able to play games and things) but it's still nice to be able to connect them. It's also cool that with the faceplates the way you are you can pull them off and customize them -- I wan able to modify both mine and my brothers to be more "us" which makes it all the more special, I think.

Perfect Christmas present for my kids! Remembering old times. Picked out this version because it comes in English!

For it for a gift for niece for Easter. Brings back memories from when I had one as a kid. These are a little more high tech being able to have them travel back and forth but definitely a good product.

I love the over-all design. It's the same-old Tamagotchi, only much better. Though I kind of dislike the background with the pet, because I can barely see her through all those pixels.

Horrible quality. The screen is so light that you can't see anything at all. Making it impossible to play. No where near how they used to be.

Kids loved this. It's sort of retro I believe, but works well.

I got these for my girls for Christmas. I am very pleased with it so far (I took it out and played with it to see what all it did) The package arrived quickly, the toys were brand new and everything works wonderfully!!! I am very Happy!
