Test number are not accurate / update different test holds better
I been used many lines from different brands and I wanted to give Kalex a try.Line quality seems very good, I noticed the line is very thin for a 40 LB. I decided to do a test and results was same as I thought, 40 lb line basically broke at 20 lb , 22 lb , 25 lb.I’m not sure if there’s manufacturing error on labeling or it’s just a fake numbers.I’m ordering 60 lb and I will give it a try and update my review.Update: ordered 50 lb test and hold much better than the 40 lb test, it’s break near 40 lb which is not bad at allOrdered 20 lb test break 17.50 lb ( still pretty good)

Decent line, great value
Summary:Great value, decent quality.I bought several times when it goes on sale. Got break strength rated 15, 20, 65 lbs. Thus several reviews. Not sure why they all lumped together.Updated March 05, 2020Just bought 15 lb line in hi vis yellow. The good: strong line broken around 20.5lb. pretty thin too, since I also bought 20 lb line in multicolor. This 15 one is much thinner. The bad: color is off and dye gets off like crazy. Your hand will get the color just by touching it.Updated Feb 19,2020This is the third order I have on kalex braided lines. You can see my previous review on 65lb and 20lb below.I noticed that they often drop the price significantly on certain strength lines, at a very steep discount. It happened again on 30lb lines a few days ago, so I picked up some. The line strength is decent. I get about avg 28lbs after a few tests. But the color seems fading or rubbing offore easily than the previous two. Not sure if different dye or bad quality control. But I can live with that.(update)I just realized that amazon made a mistake. They replaced my original 65 lb review with this 20 lb review (I bought 65lb first, then 20lb).Basically, 65 lb test broke around 55 lb after multiple tests with proper setup (ie wrap the line around the reel to simulate fighting a fish). If you just tied to a dead weight, it'll break around 40 lbs. Most people test their lines this way, which is wrong. The 20 lb line is much better.(previous)I bought this to try out. Great value. Tested the line strength with proper setup (loaded on reel to simulate real world application). Test 4 times, did not break at knots but at middle, averaged 24 lbs, better than the 65 lb version (see my other review). I think that's a reasonable claim. If the test not done properly, it'll break at 19 lbs (ie the line was tied to a heavy weight, instead rolled on the reels)

More Chartreuse Than Yellow
When I starting using a baitcaster I found that I had fewer backlashes if I used braided line instead of monofilament. The only problem was, "fewer" isn't the same as "none" and braided line costs a lot more than mono. Not long after I started buying the "cheap" stuff on Amazon, I realized it only sold for cheap for one of two reasons—either it's a low-quality knockoff or a private label product (i.e., a product being manufactured by one company for sale under another company's brand). And while I sincerely doubt that this braid is a knockoff given it's being manufactured by PureFishing®, I also know that being a private label product doesn't guarantee quality. That said, so far this line has exceeded all my expectations. My only gripe is that, in my opinion, the color closer to chartreuse than what I normally think of as hi-vis yellow. In other words, there's nothing truly worth complaining about.

6 lb weight - Not very good for off the loom beading.
The description said it would resist stretching, but when I had to undo some of my work, the thread pulled itself into a tight coil and would not straighten out. I’ve added a photo of the rats nest it made.It made larger knots compared to Fireline and is thick enough that it will not work well for size 15/0 or smaller seed beads. It was okay when using with size 11/0 beads for herringbone, but seemed slippery compared to other beading threads like a Fireline and WildFire. My search for a good transparent monofilament line for beading continues. At least the price was low enough I didn’t go bankrupt for trying.

Heavy Duty/Awesome Strength/Thin Diameter/The Best Braid Line💕
I finally found my perfect fishing line! Even other fishermen have complimented on it by saying "Nothing is going to break that." I love how it is so heavy-duty strong despite the fact that it is thinner in diameter than other braided lines with the same pound test. After losing a fish with monofilament line i replaced all my poles with this line. It has been awesome time after time. Nothing has been able to break it. There is no way any one person can break this line; you should NEVER even attempt to because it would just seriously cause you injury! The big turtles, the big catfish...despite how hard they fought to get away, this amazing Kalex braided line has remained undamaged and unbreakable. I just love it! I would not buy any other braided line but this awesome Kalex braided line. It is truly spectacular. (It is also great for beading jewelry. if you want to make necklaces and bracelets that will not break off on you, this is it!) 💕☺️💜⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

this line breaks so easy
I purchased the 20lb braided line, used twice, once on my spinning reel and once on my bait caster. both times the braid has snapped on casting with less than 2lbs of lure/weights. I gave this to my wife for arts and craft projects since I cannot use this for fishing and it was unable to do anything good for her so she threw it away. WASTE OF MONEY

Good performance to cost ratio
I've been using this line for several months now for Florida inshore species such as red fish, snook and sea trout, often around oyster bars and mangrove roots. The line has held up well and I haven't lost any fish to unreasonable line failure (shark will 🦈). The line is reasonably supple, is easy enough to tie and holds it's color better than that one name brand.

This braid is garbage (20lb) for baitcasting
Not a great braid, much worse than the 20lb Sufix 832 I used. If you're thinking about using this or another cheap brand on your bait caster to save money, then use at least 40lb, the deficiencies in the line are less noticeable at higher diameters. If you're set on using 20lb, then make sure you're using it on a spinning rod.

Good product for reasonable price
This line is perfect!!!! Smooth and tough. Previously I bought another brand of braided line on Amazon and immediately returned it after one day. It tangles every 3 castings. Highly recommended

Just buy name brand Braid
This line has cost me more money in lost lures than I even spent on the line. The line is just so weak even for 15 pound braid... the memory on this line as well is ridiculous causing terrible line twists and line snaps.

Buena para su costo
Me gustó bastante, no es tan delgada para ser 6 lbs pero se lanza bien, es resistente, vuela bien, tuve un par de buenas capturas sin problema.
