Bright display non adjustable, don't loose the instructions.
Nice bright display, so bright I had to install a tinted plexiglas filter to tone it down a little, note that there is no brightness adjustment. This would not be a problem if the room is large enough. The temperature display is fixed in centigrade. Don't loose the instructions, tape them to the back of the unit. 4 buttons to set: hours/minutes/seconds /month/numeric day/alpha day/year/alarm set functions.....the instructions are necessary unless you really love puzzles, and the translated instructions are enough of a puzzle, at least for me. There is no battery backup, however I simulated a 10 second power failure and it retained all programming. Longer than that awaits the next brave soul willing to reprogram the unit if it loses its memory. All in all I think it is a great unit for the money. I use it to time short isometric exercises. Keeps perfect time.

Seconds!
It's not too big, and it shows seconds as well as hours and minutes, WITHOUT COSTING ANOTHER LIMB. Yes, I had to disconnect the speaker, yes, I had to put some red film (on the inside, while fixing the speaker) so it wouldn't be so bright at night, but I find that half hour of my labor (I'm retired) was a small price to pay to make this clock just about perfect for my needs.Update: Still too bright, so I bought this: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FBZ7NML/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Two layers of this on the glass surface left it bright enough for daytime use, and dark enough to use in my bedroom at night. No doubt, other types of film might have done it in one go, but this stuff is so easy to put on, it wasn't difficult at all to put on two layers.

Easy to read
Bought this for a physical therapy room where seeing the seconds tick off helps with repetitions. The therapists just love it and are so happy to have it for their clients.

Had to return don't buy this thing!1st it's cheap should have never cost more then five dollars2nd alarm goes off daily with no way to turn the setting on or off3rd instructions are not written in a way that make any sense whatsoever they have four buttons a b c d and nothing says what they do and after just pressing away for 30mins I figured how to program but that didn't matter as the alarm was set with no way to turn it off

Loose pieces inside the unit and terrible instructions
There was a loud rattle inside the box that made me nuts. I had to open it and discovered the internal battery had dislodged from its receptacle. I placed it back in it, but not sure about the polarity. I didn't want to turn it off to find out if the battery was keeping track of time, or not (its only function). It was a pain trying to understand the setup instructions (incompetently translated from Chinese).

Good
Power goes out for 4 days, when the power comes back on I didn't have to adjust for it. Just wish it had Fahrenheit instead of centigrade
