ThuleChasm Carry On, Olivine, One Size

Extremely durable material, zipper, wheels and handle. Bag stands on its own due to the hard shell bottom. The wheels are nice and big and easily roll over cobblestones, carpet, soft ground, any surface really. The outer straps cinch up perfectly to hold everything in place. The first trip put this bag through its paces. It was sent to the wrong airport, forwarded all over Europe, and then turned over to a delivery company in Italy to bring to the hotel. Not a scratch, dent or ding. I really do not like the four wheel bags and two wheel bags are really hard to find. This is the perfect replacement.

Indeed, I've gone through three rolling duffels over a couple decades! Cheapos, so no big loss. Yes, edges start to fray; wheels and closures show wear. I did a big $$$ dive and bought this Thule duffel...Did not disappoint! Altho a little heavier than my earlier ones, after a couple overseas trips, has held up great! Zippers are mammoth and seem really durable. This is an initial review...will update in a couple years after a few more trips, but looking forward!!

Okay, I'm a luggage snob. And not the status-symbol snob - a gear snob. I want to be able to cram everything into an organized, durable bag and it needs to look good.I usually travel with my older '09 Burton Wheelie Flight Deck (45L), but at 22" it's just over international carry-on size. We were going to be in Italy for a little over three weeks and our plans included flights on Volotea and RyanAir and I really didn't want to chance it with my 1/2" oversized Burton. Fast-forward through *dozens* of hours of carry-on research (Patagonia, Away, Eastpak, Timbuk2, NorthFace, Samsonite...) and I finally found this! Why was this so hard to find?! It's THE BEST soft-side carry-on. Two wheels with a huge no-frills interior to fit max volume with a few strategic pockets to stay organized. We had no issues on our budget flights and the slick exterior helped when it was rainy.If you're even considering this, just buy it. This is joining my Burton Wheelie, Crumpler Boston Heist, and Patagonia MLC mini as my go-to luggage!

Now, Thule is a brand name that's not associated with cheap. As a result, you may end up with certain expectations and for me they were mostly satisfied. It's robust and holds a lot of stuff, while being light weight with an understated design.However, it's also a bit of a disappointment for me as we're getting one big compartment and that's not always useful. I really like the two compartments in some designs (i.e., Armage) certainly a lot better. Also, the fabric appears tough, but is a single layer and feels a bit thin to survive the automated luggage handling in airport for a long time. However, that's a concern that has not materialized, but also because my travels effectively ground to a halt.

I’ve wanted one of these for a while. After traveling with cheap bags all my life I decided to treat myself. Very happy with the quality and it’s a perfect size for a 3-4 day trip.

Thule makes great stuff. That's about all there is to it! I bought this because I was so please with my SubTerra carry on roller, and this did not disappoint. So much better than TNF rolling duffle that I was comparing it to. If you are in the market for a large rolling duffle, this one is a fantastic choice.

Husband loves the bag. Perfect size and does hold a lot!
