Movie night treat
Yowzers!! Why, oh why didn't I find this sooner. Why, oh why have I spent SO much money on other brands of Coconut oil, only to be disappointed? Chalk it up to being a blithering idiot and we will leave it at that. LOL...In this woman's humble opinion, Snappy is the absolute TOP SHELF of popcorn oils. I tried it the same day it arrived. 1/2 cup of WHITE popcorn to 3 tablespoons of oil. On my electric stove I turn the burner up to 7, put 3 kernels in the pan, wait for them to pop and pour in the remainder. By then the oil is super hot and ready to pop! And, boy does it ever. Before you know it you have a large bowl of some of the best 'movie style' popcorn ready to enjoy.I noticed the popcorn was more tender and fluffy versus the other brands of oil used. I also loved the fact that the popped corn came out yellow.Final touch - a wee pinch or two of popcorn salt and I was ready to watch the movie of my choosing.Snappy, I'll be BACK!! LOL**Highly recommend

This gives the popcorn a great flavor and also that yellow tint that you will ...
This is the only oil I will use to pop popcorn. Ever since discovering this I can not ever go back to anything else. I think I purchased this 3 or 4 times now. This gives the popcorn a great flavor and also that yellow tint that you will see on movie theater or carnival popcorn. If you add Flavacol to the oil before adding the popcorn kernels, you end up with the best tasting popcorn. It tastes just like movie theater popcorn.I pop my popcorn in a big pot with a lid because I don't own a popper yet. That's on my "to buy" list. I melt 3 tablespoons of oil, after it's completely melted I add 1 heaping teaspoon of Flavacol (sometimes I sprinkle a little extra in), then I mix that around so the Flavacol is evenly distributed in the oil, last I add 1/2 cup of popcorn kernels. Once it's popped it is so amazing. Seriously. Anyone that loves movie theater popcorn has to try this oil and the salt mentioned. You won't be disappointed.

One half of the secret to movie theater popcorn
I've been making popcorn on the stove for years, but could never get it to look or taste like the popcorn in the theater, no matter how much butter I added. I ordered this oil along with Flavacol powder and was amazed that it was exactly like the popcorn you get in the theater. The recipe was:1) Put stove to medium heat and put pot on stove.2) After the pot heats a bit, put 2.5-3 Tbsp of the coconut oil into the pot and let it melt and coat the bottom of the pot.3) Immediately add 1/2 cup of popcorn kernels and 1/2 tsp of the Flavacol powder.4) Keep sliding the pot back and forth over the stove surface until the popcorn stops popping.5) Shutoff heat and take the pot off the stove to cool for 2 minutes.6) Serve the popcorn :)This worked perfectly for me. It tastes exactly like theater popcorn. I'll be ordering this product for years to come.

Great Product
The product arrived in tact, however I cut my finger when trying to open it. The sealed lid was razor sharp. The oil was completely liquefied, which is fine and expected since I live in Florida. I put it in the refrigerator to firm it up, I didn't realize that it should not be stored in the fridge. I could not easily scoop this out like regular coconut oil in it's cold hardened state. So I have left it in the pantry to stay a liquid, which is quite messy. Other than that, the product is great and tastes great.

Just like at the movie theater
Does exactly what it advertises. Movie theater taste on the cheap. Make sure that you don't add too much though. I thought a couple of tablespoons would be right and I learned that you only need enough to make the bottom of the pot oily but not deep puddle (one tablespoon turned out to be plenty for my needs). I popped my corn in a pot on the stove and not an electric popper. Turned out great once I cut down on the coconut oil and salt. Doesn't take much of either to get great popcorn. If used properly, you will have very few "old maids" and almost zero oil residue at the bottom of you pot (if you have residue, you used too much oil). Suggest using "Flavacol" (same as the movie house) popcorn salt - it's super fine and goes a long way. (one box sold on amazon will easily last more than two years). I'll never go back to microwave popcorn which claims, but doesn't reach real Movie Theater popcorn tastes.

WORLD'S BEST POPCORN?
OK......as a hardcore popcorn aficionado here's my review.....popped up some Orville's using this coconut oil and Flavacol seasoning.......it turned out alright but nothing special and certainly not "movie theater" quality. The coconut oil will color the popcorn, however, it is not butter flavored and contributes nothing to the buttery taste. The Flavacol seasoning is really mostly salt with a little butter flavor. I have to say that I had much greater expectations. "Cousin Willys Buttery Explosion" microwave popcorn has this beat by a country mile! Bear in mind that the greatest popcorn ever known in our galaxy was produced by WalMart in their "Radio Grill" snack bars back in the 90's. They had a buttery topping that was absolutely to die for......don't know what it was, but it was better than any movie theater popcorn ever! A thousand blessings upon anyone who can enlighten me with the answer!!

If you want that true movie theater style popcorn experience at home I recommend using this product in addition to Flavacol popc
I finally tried this based on other reviews. If you want that true movie theater style popcorn experience at home I recommend using this product in addition to Flavacol popcorn salt. Previously I was using off the shelf popcorn oil that is available anywhere. The only problem is it doesn't color the popcorn well even though that product uses beta carotene also to give it color. It just doesn't give it enough color. But using this product and flavacol yields a product very similar to color and taste. There's something about the coconut oil that gives the popcorn that taste. Which is lacking in the off the shelf popcorn oil which is soybean oil. It makes a big difference. Also the color. With the off the shelf oil even though it is colored with beta carotene is still doesn't produce the same telltale color of movie theater style popcorn. This product does. The flavacol helps but it's this product that does the trick!
