Great antenna, perfect size for large truck.
I was tired of either hitting things with my 40" antenna on top of an F-150 or having to climb up and take it down for every parking garage. This short Comet dual-bander was the perfect solution. While the gain is lower, all of the repeaters around me are on big hills or mountain tops. Works very well in the SoCal suburbs. SWR under 1.5:1 across both bands, most of it around 1.2:1.I am still full quieting on all my favorite repeaters and now no longer worry about my antenna. It's also not as noisy at high speed. My previous antenna "sang" above 60MPH.

Great antenna for off-road
This antenna is perfect for Jeep’s and off-road folks who want HAM but don’t want some big antenna hitting the trees and getting bent.I hit repeaters and talk to folks just fine with this thing. It’ll never be as good as a big metal antenna but it sure as heck is more durable.

Excellent antenna for the truck and still going strong!
I bought this gift for my husband, who is a ham-radio enthusiast. He is still thrilled to this day and extremely satisfied with the antenna which currently is mounted proudly on his truck. My husband is satisfied with the product and recommends it to anyone looking to get a better mobile signal via 146/446MHz.

OK for UHF, not so no much on VHF
I’ll start off by saying build quality is great, and this is perfect for what I need it for l, which is urban use and still clears my garage and most parking garages. The bad? High SWR on 2 meter. The lowest reading I got was 2.5. Works great on 70cm, was getting 1.5 even in high power (50 watts)

Great low-profile antenna
Absolutely fantastic antenna. I have it mounted using a trunk mount (http://www.amazon.com/Browning-PL-259-connectors-VXD7200-install/dp/B00MYHA048?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00). I've received complements on my signal when checking into the local net even when I was 20-30 miles out. I've reached the local repeater about 50 miles out without a problem. Very low profile antenna with great range.

Excellent product
Perfect addition to my mobile rig. I do alot of offroading and kept breaking antenna. This has fixed that problem.

NMO mounted center of Jeep Liberty roof. Others have said I come in loud and clear. Looks good and works well.
