Works great, no complaints!
I’ll start by saying that I read reviews on this product extensively before deciding to purchase it. Second, before I sat down to write this review, I ensured that I used it for a bit beforehand, so I could speak on it fairly.Bottom line up front: Read the manual, be familiar with the maintenance requirements, and be mindful of your load types and sizes. If you do these things, you shouldn’t have problems.Ok, so this is not your parent’s washer and dryer. It’s not going to work the same at all! My read on the negative reviews, would be that they’re written from the mindset that this device functions just like every other washer or dryer someone’s had in their life. It doesn’t. It has all of the maintenance requirements of a front load washer, with some new tasks that come from having a dryer built in to the same machine.LG recommends that you wash like garment types together for best efficiency. Having tested this, I don’t disagree - It generally works best if you’re washing jeans with jeans, rather - heavy fabrics with heavy fabrics, and light fabrics with light fabrics. It’s harder for the machine to dry everything thoroughly if you’re mixing fabric types, but it is very doable. My clothes do come out clean and dry. I find that I sometimes have to go back and have it run an additional hour of drying if I’m mixing fabric types, but that’s my choice to do so, and not a critique of the machine. Again, you can’t approach this product as a traditional washer or dryer. I also want to say, this is NOT a fast product. If you’re looking to be able to run a load quickly, think again. If you’re single, and want to save space, it’s a great product. I’ve modified my lifestyle to work better with it - so I do more frequent, but smaller loads, rather than banking up a bunch of laundry. I actually appreciate this shift, as I can work laundry into my routine much easier than having to dedicate a full day to it.Maintenance tasks: This is a ventless “dryer”. You’ll have to clean the lint filter. It’s also a front load washer, which means you need to clean the door seal after every load. Well, maybe you don’t have to do it after EVERY load, but you run the risk of mildew / nastiness if you don’t. I’ve found that, by just integrating this seal cleaning into my routine, that it makes it a much smaller and less involved task. Also, invest in some washer tub cleaning tabs, and run them as suggested by the machine. I would absolutely run the cleaning cycle with a tab when you first get it, as it does have a “from the factory” smell. That went away after a cleaning cycle. So, I don’t have any issues with the product, and I’d recommend it to anyone, with the above caveats. Thanks for a solid product, LG!

DO NOT BUY!
First let me preface this with I was super excited to get this machine. I had a similar machine when I was stationed in Europe and loved it. Now for the review on this machine... DO NOT BUY! I would give 0 stars if it was possible. I purchased this machine in Dec 2022 and have yet to be able to finish a load of laundry in it. When I first got this machine I started a load of laundry. It tripped the GFCI outlet. Reset the outlet and restarted the machine - same thing. Ok, I have 145-year-old house so I called my electrician. Wiring and outlet were fine. Contacted the seller about the machine and was told that I had to have LG come out to service it. They scheduled the repairman. The service tech came, replaced a part - same thing. Service tech comes out replaces another part - same thing. I had another electrician come out to verify the wiring and outlet. Again, I was told it was fine. Fast forward to a total of 6 service calls with replacement of parts and the unit is still not operating correctly. At this point the service tech told me that I needed to plug the unit into a non-GFCI outlet. Code requires the outlets in a laundry room to be GFCI. I contacted the power company. They came out said the power supply, wiring, and outlet was fine, but I had them pull new wire and put in a new outlet anyway. Same issue with the unit. I have another service tech come out, replaces a different part - same issue. I have been told by the service tech that all of the parts in the unit that they are able to replace in the field have been replaced so the only option is mark the unit unrepairable and replace/refund it. He calls to start the process, and LG refuses to allow him to mark it unrepairable! So, now I have a nearly $2k paperweight sitting in my laundry room. The seller refuses to provide assistance and now so does LG. SAVE YOUR HARD-EARNED MONEY! DO NOT BUY THIS UNIT. And I would highly recommend you consider the return/refund/customer service policies of the seller closely BEFORE you make a purchase from them for any product
