Not perfect--but can be made to work very well
I really like this knee wrap, but it's not quite perfect. Pros: First of all, it is really sturdy. The straps and Velcro appear to be well-made and I believe they will last a long time. The little hose for the pump device screws onto the device and can be put back on if it should ever come off. The ice pack attaches with Velcro to the actual wrap. The fact that it comes off to go into the freezer is a very good thing. The ice pack also seems to be very sturdy. It is also VERY cold! I think it gets colder (by a lot) than any other ice pack I've ever used. I use the device over jeans, and can only tolerate about 10 minutes, since it's so cold. That is actually helpful if you want to use it for both knees without refreezing between uses. The ability to inflate it a little seems to help. For one thing, it really keeps the ice close to your leg. It works best to deflate the device before removing it, since it's hard to deflate without the pressure of the straps. Cons: The ice pack doesn't go all the way around the knee, only the top and sides. There is also no ice directly on top of the knee cap. But I have found a way to overcome those flaws. I use a separate, rectangular ice pack (about 6" X 10") for the back of the knee. I place it under the straps as I put the device onto my knee, starting with the top strap. If I want ice directly on my kneecap, I use a small dental ice pack for that. There is plenty of room for those "extra" ice packs, and with them, I get a really good result. After I get the straps tightened, then I inflate a little. SUMMARY: This is a substantial device that works well as I have described. I would buy it again and would also recommend it. I read a lot of reviews before buying this, and believe this is the best for what I wanted.

Efficient, fast chilling and compression for a hurt knee, better than any other sleeve tested. But bulky and awkward for walking
The single most effective knee compression I've ever used, plus beautiful cold. Leaky ice bags no more, and the compression really holds it onto your flesh to get the chill in deep. The length of time the cold lasts depends on two factors: how cold you got the gel packs first, and how hot the environment/your flesh is. Some notes:-Using a refrigerator is useless, don't bother-Using a "standard" ice-making side freezer gets them to a very chill temperature that lasts around 20 minutes. They will feel thick but liquid within. This depth of cold is safe to put on my skin; it will chill my knee, but not burn me.-Using a "deep" freezer gets them to a slushy state within. You can feel solid crystals within. This level of freeze is NOT safe to put on my skin; I need a thin rag or pant between my flesh and the gelpack. This level of cold will last for ~20 minutes until it turns into "standard" freezer temperature above, when I remove the protective cloth. If you are in very heated conditions (90F + environment, or your flesh is hot from strong exercise), the cooling power of the gel can be reduced ~25%. Fortunately, the compression sleeve does protect the cold gel from the environment a bit.The product is NOT easy to walk around in. I have done it (at a mall even), but the thickness forces you to walk a bit funny if you have them on both knees as I do. For around the house, it's fine.I worry the air bladders will break someday, but no evidence of any leaks yet. Also, the connection from the removable air pumps to the bladders seems a bit on the delicate side. Three weeks of continuous use, and no obvious malfunction yet.WARNING: They are much, much larger than shown in the image above. When swollen around your knee, they are like a small pillow strapped to your knee wrapping partially around both sides and the entire front. The image on the picture is what they look like WITHOUT the gel packs inserted and with no puffed air compression.

Great Product!
I use this cold compression knee wrap to help reduce swelling and inflammation in my knee after my recent MCL/Meniscus surgery. This thing works flawlessly! I have large legs (and even larger when swollen) and this wrap gets around my leg/knee without a problem. Also, because of the air pumpablility factor, the gel pack that comes with it (which I keep in my freezer), is extremely cold on my knee because it is held so tight to the knee with no "gaps" that don't get iced. It is MUCH colder, because of the compression and deep penetration of the cold, then standard ice packs, ice cubes, etc. The only downside is when it's on your knee with the gel pack inside, it is rather bulky and it makes walking a little difficult. So, I just use it at home when I'm on the couch icing after doing some of my PT exercises. Given the quality & effectiveness of the product, along with the relatively low price tag (especially when you consider what your knee is worth to you), I highly recommend this product!

GREAT for reducing pain after ACL surgery
Love the compression feature. Liked the size but thought it would be more of a straight wrap not curved. Cold and compression great for reducing pain in bone after ACL surgery. Not as cold as stated in other reviews even after being in freezer overnight. Easily chilled on ice in a small cooler. Great choice when you can't or don't want to afford higher priced options (like Game Ready which i use in therapy and LOVE). Great affordable home option (especially when insurance copay too high or not covered) without being burdened with a machine, water, etc. Relieves pain enough to help comfort while sleeping. Yes! Felt so good I fell asleep. ☺
