Hubbell-Raco 4714 THE INSIDER 1/2-Inch Trade Size Nonmetallic Sheathed Cable Connector, 100-Pack

I used these for a bunch of LED ceiling lights, of the 50 I used, most snapped right in easily, 3 had to have some excess plastic cut off to allow them to click in and fully seat in the hole. They are also easy to remove if you need to.Please note it is difficult to push a single 14-2 Romex type wire into these, I found it easier to insert the wire before inserting into the box or push a needle nose pliers in to stretch them open a bit, otherwise the outer insulation just bunches up.

First, I have not tried the connectors yet, only received moments ago. What I received, came in a plain clear bag, with no markings on it. What I received isn't what was pictured on the Amazon site. It does not say "this side inside box". It says India and has a U.L. label. What I received would not go inside the box, because, as you can see in the picture, the jaws would be pointing upwards, making it nearly impossible to force a cable into them. The ones pictures on the Amazon site, show the jaws pointing downward when the connector is installed from inside the box. Having said this, it still may be a great product, just not what is shown, and possibly a spinoff

I love these because they sit mostly outside the j-box. Makes it a lot easier to neatly tuck your wires into a handy box, especially when you're installing a receptacle.

I must be the only idiot who can’t get these to work right. I bought them thinking it would be easier to get wires into a box that was already rocked over after fishing new romex down. It is impossible to get these to stay In the knockout. It is even more difficult to slide the romex through. I have no idea how you would possibly fit 2 12/2s in this. Definitely holds the romex too tight. All these plastic connectors are trash compared to metal but this was my only option having no access to the outside of the box.

This is the only romex connector that allows you to push the wire into the box first and then slip the connector over the wire and push it into the knockout. It also uses up the least amount of space inside the box.

The idea is great -- pulling wires into a box and then "easily" slipping a connector over them from the inside. HOWEVER, the plastic they are made from is WAY TOO HARD. - It is hard to slip the Romex into them - It is even harder to slip them down the wire - They are too stiff and can easily damage the wire. - And if you do damage the wire, you can almost forget about getting them back offThe design is good, but the plastic is wrong. If Raco/Hubbell figures this out and uses less-stiff plastic, they would then have an awesome product.

They are very well made and we would purchase again.
