Does this product contain Asphalt?

This sound deadening material is made on a butyl rubber base and does not contain any asphalt or petroleum. It does not have an asphalt smell. All of our products are non-hazardous ones and not dangerous.

Can this product be installed in cold weather? What are the recommended install temperatures?

I did it here in Idaho this winter but had the garage warmed up to around 65F. I don’t think it’s stick very well at say, below 55 and the colder it is, the harder it would be to get applied correctly. I went over the whole install with a heat gun after each section was completed and it sealed very well.. I personally didn’t see any recommended install temps in the instructions..

Will it stick to plastic of a UTV?

Yes, this material will stick to plastic. There should be no problem. The surface is to be pre-cleaned and degreased prior to installation. Each sheet of the material is to be thoroughly pressed to the surface with a roller. However, please note that our products are mainly designated to be installed from the interior side of a vehicle in order to perform its function and get substantial results. It is worth mentioning that UTV is a fairly difficult objective in terms of soundproofing. We doubt that application of any kind of sound deadening materials would bring about somewhat sensible results in comparison if it was installed to a regular car. The reason being is an open design of your UTV along with its engine arrangement. Another thing is that the material should not be installed to those areas of your UTV that are exposed to the elements (dirt or water).

How come what i just ordered was nothing like it was before i ordered 2 packs but this stuff is definitly not 80mil and there was no where near 36sqft

Yes same experience., this particular brand was not a true 80 mill thickness.
