As good as I thought it would be.
Ya it big and heavy, but it was just what I was looking for to set my spotting scope on. When looking through a spotting scope at max magnification you NEED a stable platform to set up on. This tripod coupled with a Leofoto PG-1 gimbal head does the trick! It feels heavy in all the right ways, but it also packs up fairly small, lighter in weight than you'd expect, and is easy to transport. If you're looking for a solid stable tripod, this one is it!

Carbon Fiber Tripod Heavy Duty Bowl Tripod ARTCISE AS90C
This tripod was exactly what I was looking for. Sturdy and durable. I have an Oberwerk Ultra 15x70 Binocular and it is quite heavy after you hold on to it for a while. So, mounting it on my tripod was a challenge at first. My "L" bracket for my binocular has a 1/4-20 bolt for mounting on the tripod. The new tripod has a 3/8-16 mounting bolt! So I purchased a tap block; cut it to size to mount on the new tripod; drilled and tap the 1/4-20 on one side; flipped it over and tapped a 3/8-16 on the backside. It worked out perfect and it's way more sturdy for the binocular. Again, the old tripod was way too weak to support myOberwerk. This tripod was worth the investment. Yeah . . . I had to do a little modification and I'm happy that I could use my old skill trades knowledge in making mount support.

A very good tripod for the price
A very good tripod for the price, but it’s not a Gitzo. For less than a quarter the price of a Gitzo one wouldn’t expect the same quality, but the quality is quite a bit closer to a Gitzo than you might expect. The materials and workman ship is excellent, but if there’s one aspect in which this tripod falls a bit short in comparison to a Gitzo, or a Manfrotto for that matter, is in the tolerances between components. The Gitzo has tighter tolerances which translate to less vibration. This is important for astronomical observing through a telescope at high powers, but it might not be an issue for other applications. In any case, this trip is well worth the cost.

Artcise AS90C “Beefy Solid Tripod”
Let me start off by saying, this thing is beefy. I do event and portrait photography and use my trusty Manfrotto 055 with a 502 head but since there are no events going on I started getting into shooting birds, from eagles to the tiny warblers. When doing landscapes I would usually get soft images whenever I use the Manfrotto on long exposures on rivers and streams. Somehow the running water is causing micro vibrations on the aluminum legs. So I started looking at carbon fiber tripods but this time I wanted one with a 75mm bowl. So I can easily level and get low shots. Last week I was shooting some Ospreys and met another photographer. He had a nice heavy duty looking tripod and I asked him what brand and where did he get it from. He said he got it at Amazon. Took a photo of the tripod and started doing my research when I got home. At the time of this writing there were only 4 reviews and didn’t see any youtube videos. I took the chance and ordered it. I am very impressed with this thing. The Carbon fiber has a nice premium feel. The largest leg tube is 40mm and the smallest is 29mm. The largest tube on my Manfrotto is 29mm. The twist locks are CNC Aluminum. Comes with a flat base and a 75mm bowl, Feet Spikes and allen wrenches and also comes with a nice carrying case. I do wish it had a ¼ thread on the apex so I can attach a magic arm or a hook. Heavy duty is an understatement for this tripod. This is definitely a great buy.

Really Nice Tripod
This is a REALY nice tripod for the money. Highly recommend. Very sturdy and stable. I debated this purchase for a while but am completely satisfied. Still waiting on the Innorel l54 ballhead to match up with this.UPDATE (09-22-2020) - ARTCISE contacted me and asked if I was satisfied. Great customer service. Unexpected in this day and age. I highly recommend this tripod for both photography and to shoot rifles off of. It continues to impress after much usage. My neighbor stopped by the other day for a beer (he's into high end photography and has a light table for processing 5X 7 negetives in his garage) and mentioned how nice it was. When I told him the price, he was completely amazed. He had guessed ~$700.00 or so. He is going to purchase one at some point & recommend it to others. It's that good.

Will not move for hours-long timelapse!
1st of all, it was thicker than I expected, what a monster! I wanted a stable tripod for moving timelapse photography on an Edelkrone slide. My other tripods would move and flex as the camera would track over the rails and get off center. This one is super-rigid and will not move. I have no idea how much weight it would support, but I guarantee, it's a lot! I love the adjustable bowl. I rarely set up on level ground, and adjusting leg lengths to try to get a level tripod is a pain. With the adjustable bowl, I can setup the tripod how ever it happens to land and then I simply adjust the bowl until it's level and I'm done! The legs extend and retract super-smoothly. It's the smoothest of all my carbon fiber tripods. The tightening rings are large and comfortable. In spite of this tripod being a beast, it's surprisingly light! This is my all-time favorite tripod. It is all pros and no cons.

A bargain
I wasn't sure what to think about this tripod when I read about it. It seemed so cheap. Was it for real? Turns out it was.I was looking for something to replace my aluminum Manfrotto tripod, which isn't as stable as I need it to be. I looked at tripods by Really Right Stuff, Manfrotto, Gitzo, and others, but the good ones were way too expensive. This Artcise tripod compares with the best of them at a fraction of the price. It has thick carbon fiber legs and comes with two CNC billet-aluminum quick-release platforms depending on what you need. One platform is just a fixed plate, lighter in weight; while the other has a swivel bowl for easy leveling. The machining is excellent. I also bought an Artcise ball head, which is also well made. See photos. The tripod and ball head are a little heavy for hiking, but I can live with that. The build quality for both is just amazing at this price point.
